'I hate to break up the family reunion but V has to get going.' A cold voice said behind us. Looming over where we were, the pale man glared down at us.

'But sir I-'

'No buts V.' He snapped.

'I can't go n-'

'Yes you can.' He said. 'And I'll remind you the rest of the team is waiting for you back at headquarters.'

Taehyung looked nervous. He couldn't meet my eyes, keeping his trained on the ground. I pulled him into a hug, and I could feel his body relax slightly.

'Go with us.' I whipsered.

'How.' He murmured into my hair.

'We can knock him out, then get you out of here quickly, and you can live with us.'

'Is it safe?'

'No.'

'I'm in.' He whispered

Goodbye, he said loudly, and got up to follow the pale man. The man shoved him in front, making sure he wouldn't run back.

'Jin sedate him!' I hissed at Jin

'What?'

'You can right?'

'Yes but what's happening?'

'Just do it!'

'Alright!' He said, and crept up behind the man. He placed his heads around the crown of the man's head and tapped lightly. The man spun around, but then stumbled back, looking confused.

'Why.. you.. ..I?' Then he keeled forwards. I flinched as he hit the ground.

Taehyung turned around and rushed back to where I lay, pulling me into a hug.

'Thank you so much.' He said. He walked over to Jin, and pulled him into a hug too. 'Thank you Jin, and thank you for being a better brother than I was.' Jin flushed with embarrassment.

'I didn't do much.' He said quickly. They stood for a moment before I interrupted.

'We need to get going.' I said. They both turned around nodding. Taehyung walked over to my bag, melting through the ice with his hands. Jin knelt down beside me.

'Can you stand yet? He asked. I got to my feet tentatively, swaying slightly as the world span in front of me. Jin held out a hand to steady me, but I pushed him away.

'I'm good.' I told him. Taehyung rejoined us, carrying my rucksack on his back.

'Where are we going?' he asked.

'There's an inn just this way, we have a secret room in the back.' I explained.

We hurried towards the inn. Jin entered first, holding the door open for me. I ducked through, and turned my head as I heard Jimin shout my name.

'Were you gonna let us know you were disappearing off?' He asked. He was sat at a table with Namjoon, both of them drinking pints of beer.

'Sorry, I forgot to say.' I said.

'What happened? You're smiling more than I've seen in a long time.' He asked, giving me a quick hug.

'We found him!' I grinned. 'Look.' I said pointing to the door. Following just behind Jin was Taehyung.

'Is that your brother?' He asked.

'Yep.' I said proudly. I waved over to them, and they walked over to join us.

'You agreed to eat lunch with me!' Namjoon complained at Jin.

'We could eat now?' Jin offered attempting to placate Jin.

'Cook me a meal just for us when we get home and I might forgive you.' Namjoon said. Jin agreed, taking a seat next to Namjoon. I sat myself next to Jimin who put an arm around my shoulder. Taehyung stood awkwardly next to us all.

'Namjoon, Jimin, I'd like you to meet my brother.' I said, smiling up at Taehyung. He gave a small wave.

'Hello.' He said.

'Hi.' Jimin replied.

'Pleasure to meet you.' Namjoon said. Jimin and I shifted over for Taehyung to sit down. 'Jungkook will be here later.' Namjoon told Me and Jin.

'Ok.' I nodded.

'Tell us about yourself.' Jimin said and Tae did. He described his life with Chrome, from the rigorous training exercises to the sudden missions in the dead of night. It reminded me of how little I knew him now. I made a silent promise to get to know him better. After a while we were all trading silly stories, and Tae was grinning just like he used to, and I began to laugh too. I'd missed him more than I'd thought. I hadn't realised I was crying again until Jimin's thumb brushed across my cheek.

'You don't have to cry any more.' He told me. I hiccuped and nodded, wiping my eyes. I buried my face in Tae's side. He laughed, and as I looked up, I saw that there were tears in his eyes too. Pretty soon we were all talking again.

'Oh, Jungkook.' Jin said with a wave, to catch his attention. We all turned our heads as he approached our table. As he got closer, his smile faded away. He regarded Taehyung with a guarded stare. I looked up at my brother, who stared back with a stony glare.

'You're lucky I've left Chrome.' Taehyung said frostily.

' You're lucky I'm your sister's friend.' Jungkook said, and Taehyung turned to face me.

'This is your friend?' He asked incredulously. I shrugged.

'Yeah.' I said uncomfortably.

'You don't know him.' He said back.

'Maybe not, but he helped me find you,' I countered. 'so I trust him.'

'You don't know me either.' Jungkook said coldly to V.

'At least I know you can't be trusted.'

'Oh and you can?'

'YES!' Taehyung exclaimed.

'How do any of us know whether or not you'd turn us in to Chrome?' Jungkook challenged. Taehyung looked flabbergasted.

'He won't.' I snapped. 'I trust you both, so can't you just try to get along?'

'Fine.' Jungkook muttered. Taehyung rolled his eyes, and looked away. I took a sip from Jimin's drink. Jungkook drew up a chair, sitting close to Jin. As the atmosphere became breathable Namjoon spoke up.

'We'll head for home.' He stated, 'Both of you are welcome to stay indefinitely.' He added.

'Thanks.' They both replied, exchanging glares. It was clear neither wanted the other to stay.

'I should bet back to work.' Jin said suddenly.

'Me too!' I chimed in. I would be glad to get away from the table. I followed Jin away from the table, and into the kitchen, where the clamour and heat soothed my frazzled nerves. Today had been a very, very long day.
