The next day, Jungkook was gone. He'd left a note on the kitchen table giving a brief acknowledgment to the fact that he was gone. It wasn't really an explanation or apology, so when I'd finished reading it, I called out to Namjoon.

'Hey Joon!' I shouted up the stairs. I waited for a moment.

'Yeah?' He shouted back.

'Jungkook's left a letter for us.'

'Give me a minute.' He replied. A moment later I heard a crash and a 'shit!'. When he appeared, he was walking down the stairs calmly, pretending he hadn't just knocked something over. He picked the letter up from the table, scanning it.

"Gone south, I'll be back in two days. Tell Jimin I'll be fine if he's worried, and tell Y/n I'll be taking her advice. Jungkook" He read out. 'Do you know what he means?' Namjoon asked.

'Yeah.' I nodded. 'But it's personal for him.' I said, and he nodded.

'Fair enough.' He replied. 'But what about Jimin?' He asked me. I bit my lip nervously and took a breath.

'He's worried about something happening to me and Jungkook after what the Night Guard showed him.' I explained. I didn't think it was right to say much more, so I decided not to elaborate.

'What sort of something?' He asked.

'You should talk to Jimin.' I said, these weren't my secrets to tell. He looked a little frustrated, I wasn't being very helpful. He sighed.

'Are you safe?' He asked and I swallowed. 'Y/n?' He pushed, and I looked away.

'I don't know.' I admitted. 'And I'm scared. I'm really scared.' I confessed. 'And I've lost control now. I'm no longer looking for Tae, or working jobs for CL, I'm just waiting Joon, and I can't help! I'm scared of doing nothing and letting Jungkook get hurt, I'm scared of doing something and getting myself hurt, scared of hurting Jimin, scared of... I don't know, I'm just scared!' I divulged, clawing at my arms as I tried not to panic. 'Please help me.' I implored. Namjoon pulled me into a bear hug.

'We're all here for you. And you have to understand you can't take responsibility for everything all the time.' He urged, rubbing my back. 'Maybe I shouldn't've let you take all those jobs on your own, or even doing most of the work getting to your brother alone. If I just paid attention to you more instead of just Jin all the time, maybe you'd feel able to rely on us.' He said lowly.

'It's not your fault.' I countered. 'You did nothing wrong.'

'But I did. You should be able to rely on us, but you've always been doing jobs alone, arguing to get space from the rest of us. I never even tried to stop you.'

'I'm sorry.'

'No Y/n, I am. Could you try to rely on us a little more?' He asked. I hesitated.

'I'll try.' I conceded.

'What's holding you back?' He asked gently.

'Last time I did nothing, Taehyung got stolen. I thought, maybe someone else would help. But there was no one there.' I told him.

'We're here now. And we won't go anywhere. We will always have your back. You can let yourself rely on us.' He said.

'I can?' I said, almost to myself.

'Of course. Of course you can.' He said. 'We all love you so much.'

This was a necessary chapter. The pov character has been stubborn, and taking a lot of responsibility from the start, and I want the turns of events to change her too. Things are changing, and I can see the end(ish) in sight. Everything is beginning to fall into place, the final act has well and truly begun.

All though this was a short chapter, forcing it to continue would make no change to the story, and so far pretty much everything has been crucial.

I must admit, it's evolved more than I ever expected it to, and has gotten a little more complex than I'd have thought.

All my love,
Blue
