Beneath the City ✔️

Crude

Two days had passed, and we were all gathered expectantly around the table. There was a sharp knock on the trapdoor, and it rattled slightly. I walked over. We must've left the bolt across. I climbed up and dragged it across, then pushed the trapdoor open. Yoongi was crouched just above me, a smirk plastered on his features.

'I figured this guy owed you a favour.' He said. I looked up and gasped.

'Mr Jung?' I asked,  not quite sure to believe my eyes.

'Just Hoseok, please.' He said. 'I don't think I'm here formally today.' He said. I nodded, and climbed back down. They followed after me, Yoongi first, then they both sat down at the table with us.

'What are the rules?' Hoseok asked. I looked over at Tae expectantly.

'We'll split into two teams, and we'll both take a flag.' Tae said. 'And from there we can choose to hide it anywhere within about a hundred metres of the Dome. First team to get their opponents flag to their territory wins.'

'What counts as whose territory?' Namjoon asked.

'East for one team, west for the other, get the flag to the wall on your side of the dome to win. The dome is neutral territory.' Tae said. I grinned.

'Can you use magic?' I asked.

'Yes, but only to stun or slow down, we don't want anyone to get hurt.' Tae said.

'What happens if we get caught by the other team?' Jin asked.

'We'll be using tags on our clothes, if someone grabs yours, you have to head back to the dome, and touch the wall on your side.' He said. We all nodded.

'What are we using for flags?' Jin asked.

'Namjoon's underpants?' Tae suggested. I clapped a hand over my mouth and Jimin burst out into laughter.

'That's crude!' Namjoon protested.

'Maybe jumpers then?' Tae said with a grin.

'Yes please!' Namjoon said.

'What about the night guard?' Yoongi asked leaning forwards.

'Don't get caught?' Tae offered. Yoongi nodded. Hoseok had turned slightly pale.

'You don't have to do this.' I said kindly. He shook his head.

'No, I'm fine with this.' He said quietly. I took of my jumper.

'I've got a flag.' I said. Tae grinned at me, and took his off too.

'Now we've got two.' He said.

We quickly divided ourselves into teams, by names out of a hat. I was with Jin, Tae, and Jungkook, both of whom looked a little frustrated. I tried not to laugh. At least Jin was in a good mood. He kept mumbling something about getting revenge on Hoseok, which a part of me was also looking forward to. Hoseok, on the otherhand, was looking very nervous. This definitely wasn't his sort of thing, and he was watching my brother nervously. I felt a bit sorry for him, Tae was doing nothing to hide his glares. At least it would make the competition more interesting.

In complete contrast, Jimin, Yoongi, and Jimin had there heads down, already plotting something. Yoongi was smirking, and Namjoon looked incredibly proud. A shiver ran up my spine.

I walked over to my group, who were sat on my bed.

'Any ideas?' I asked.

'I was saying V should go on defense, since he's got good fighting magic.' Jungkook said.

'Which I think is stupid.' Tae retorted. 'If I can fight, I should be on attack.' He stated.

'I'm no good for defense, so Imshould go on attack.' I pointed out.

'No way! You're an easy target, and I'm not letting you get hurt!' Tae said. I rolled my eyes.

'I can look after myself.' I said. 'I'd make a good decoy too, I'm fast enough.' I pointed out.

'But-'

'It's a good idea.' Jin said. Jungkook nodded.

'I'm fast too, so I could go for the flag.' Jungkook said.

'I'll take defense then.' Jin decided.

'But I want to attack!' Tae complained.

'I'll need a good fighter with me.' Jin said, placating him slightly. I nodded.

'It's no good just having fighters for attack, otherwise we're defensless.' I added. Tae grumbled under his breath.

'Just stay safe.' He muttered.

'I'll be ok, I'm not a kid now Tae.' I said.

We discussed some strategies, and decided that I would scout ahead, so that they don't know Jungkook would be coming, and Tae and Jin would guard a location pretty far from the flag as a way to trick them, whilst Jungkook would hover near the real thing. I looked up and smiled slightly.

It was time to begin.

I know this sin't a great chapter, but the next one should be a little better
