Sonic has defeated Eggman, which whom is now in C.I.A custody and now Mobius is safe once and for all. Tails then plans a trip to the beach for everyone who all agree that they deserve a day of relaxation. Except for one....... Sonic. They all know...
Sonic and I fell asleep in each others arms. But then I felt him move and get out of bed which caused me to wake up.
"Sonic? Where are you going?" I said sounding like a child. Sonic jumped a little causing him to knock into the dresser.
"Uhhhh.... for a run." He smiled sheepishly while rubbing his arm. I know he's lying.
"Stop lying and tell me the truth Sonic. You know you can tell me anything." I say sincerely. He looks at me with guilt in his eyes.
"I can't tell you..." he then pauses.
"What do you mean tha...." He cuts me off.
"But I can show you. As long as you promise not to say a word to anyone!" I nod and draw an X on my chest with my finger. He nods then we make our way to the beach.
Sonic P.O.V
I can't believe I'm doing this. I'm revealing myself to Shadow. What am I doing?! A sigh comes out of my mouth and we reach our destination. It's a small cave in a volcano with a small lake or what us merhogs call it, a moon pool. It has a land and sea entrance. We came through the land entrance.
"What's wrong? And what is this place?" He asks as we stand inside the cave with the pool in front of us.
"I just can't believe I'm doing this."
"Doing what?"
"Look, what your about to see is our secret until I tell the others. Got it?" I tell him in which he nods. Then I jump into the pool.
"Sonic!!" He yells in distress. Then the light blue light surrunds me once more and I gain my tail. And looks again.

I resurface for Shadow to see my true form. I then lay my head in my arms with my tail floating behind me. He looks at me in aww. He reaches for my ear fin but stops to look at me as if asking for permission. I nod my head and he proceeds to the fin and begins to rub it. I let out a soft purr and then he stops rubbing my ear and looks at me.
"Since when... But how... are you a.." He studders not knowing what to say.
"I know it's a shock, but I'm a merhog. Always have been. Never had hydrophobia either. I just didn't want anyone to know about this." I say gesturing to myself. He just nods in understanding.
"But why didn't you want us to know?" He asked gently caressing my cheek once more.
"I didn't want to be rejected or sent to a lab to be an experiment. I was... well... scared." I admitted as my ears go flat ontop of my head. He lifts my face to make me look up at him.
"I would never let anything like that happen to you. I love you." He told me. I smiled and blushed then kissed him.
"So what is this place?" He asked as we broke the kiss.
"This is where I first got to land. This is what my species calls a moon pool. When there's a full moon, we come here to replenish our strength or powers. And see that hole over there under the water?"
"Yeah."
"Its another entrance or exit. Whichever one you prefer to call it. It leads straight to the Ocean."
"Cool. Is there anything else that I should know?"
"In time you will know. But not now. I will tell you when the times right." I tell him. He looks disappointed but I don't have a choice. I srruggled to get out of the pool and then finally sit on the sand and wait.
"What now?" Shadow asks me confused about what I was waiting for.
"Give it 2 more seconds." I say and just on cue, my tail turns back into my legs and I stand up. He looks at me in amazement. I then laugh and grab his hand and lead him out of the cave. We arrive at the beach and enjoy our midnight walk in the moonlight.
"Your face was priceless when you saw my true form." I laugh.
"Well I mean that was one hell of a surprise. I mean I though you were sexy before that. But then you drop that bomb. That is every man's fucking dream!" He said laughing a little.
"Oh really? You thought I was sexy?"
"No, you are sexy. If I could I would fuck you right here right now." He said in a seductive voice. Which was a major turn on. We were about to kiss when the water came and floated towards us at firing speed. I turn to stand in front of Shadow and held up both of my hands,
"Ikh, prins sonik fun di im, bafel ir tsu haltn aun geyn tsurik tsu im! (I, Prince Sonic of the sea, command you to stop and go back to once you came!)" I yelled and my hand glew the same light blue color I did before. The water stopped mere inches away from us, then retreated back to its original state. I turned to see if Shadow was ok.
"What was that?! You spoke a whole different language! And the water?! What the hell is this shit?!" He yelled. I sighed.
"That, was the Ocean trying to take me back. It wants me to come home. And the language I was speaking was my native language. It's Yiddish."
"Still confused as shit........ But how did you learn to speak English?" He asked me.
"We learn languages fairly quickly. Mainly through physical contact with who ever speaks the language that we desire to learn."
"So you kissed someone?"
"No more like they kissed me. I was lying on the beach and someone came by and thought that I wasn't breathing so they tried to give me mouth to mouth resuscitation. Thus causing me to learn the language. "
"Well as long as I get to kiss you from now on, I'm fine with the past my beautiful sea fea." I blushed and we walked hand in hand back to the hotel and back to bed.
