Like watching the beauty of an afternoon sunset, a man who she had never seen nor heard of, came into her life. So subtle yet so strong that even her own heart began to pound in curiosity.
"Noona, meet Taheyung." Her brother was the one who introduced the man himself. Stepping out of the way only to allow room for her to shake his hand. And the minute the grey haired boy took hold of the delicacy of her fingers, she knew that she was in for something out of her comfort zone. Because he was so beautiful. . . yet so deceiving.
"It's nice to meet you Taehyung, I'm Nami." She gave the boy a smile. Letting the two of them fully enter her shared apartment while conveniently leading them to the couch. "Jungkook, why didn't you tell me that you made a friend?"
"I'm not five, noona." Jungkook sighed out with a heavy grunt. Taking the seat opposite of her while Taehyung stayed beside him.
"Relax kook, I'm sure she's just trying to be a good older sister." Taheyung was the one to speak. The depth of his voice enough to send shivers down the woman's spine as she caught his gaze. And he could see how uneasy she felt by just the way her head gently tilted to the side. All while she softly pulled on the cuffs of her black cardigan. The gesture being one of her many defense mechanisms.
"You know that I'm protective when it comes to you, kookie." She reasoned with a quiet sigh. Meeting eyes with her brother who responded by scoffing. Having chuckled almost angrily before getting to his feet. Because if she cared. . . she'd stop doing the things she does.
And she watched as he walked to his room. Not sparing either one of them a glance before his door closed shut. Leaving the girl alone with the same man who had her blood running cold. And heart picking up its pace in the most uncomfortable manner.
"I'm sorry." Taehyung watched the way she bit her lip. Turning to look at the boy who continued studying her actions. "He cant stand it when I baby him."
"I know." Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle. Waving a small hand in the air to reassure the girl that he indeed understood. Because even he himself knew that Jungkook never liked to seem unmanly around others.
And with a laugh, Nami gave a smile. Quirking a gentle brow up while Taehyung stayed seated. His right leg crossed over the left in a lazy manner while the length of his fingers run along the stubble on his chin. Intriguing the girl who cleared her throat. Thinking of questions to ask the boy who appeared so randomly.
"How did you two meet?" Was the first thing she could voice out in a quick enough manner. Not wanting the aura to become too awkward as Taehyung let out a gentle hum. Rolling his eyes back in thought before peering his gaze back over to the woman who still couldn't figure him out.
"We have the same math class." The lie could've never been more effortless. But Nami didn't know. Didn't know how he met Jungkook. Or what he had been teaching the boy. And she wouldn't question him. Why would she?
"I didn't think Jungkook even went to class anymore. . . He's been so tired lately." The sound of her laughter moved through the air. Reaching Taehyung's ears that perked from just how beautiful the tone was. And god had he never felt so allured before.
"And you? Do you attend college as well?" The question was so simple as it slipped off the man's tongue. But Taehyung noticed the way her breath got caught ever so subtly. And the way her eyes began to gloss over in an unconscious manner. Even if she was quick to push away her emotions. Showing off her daily facade that most people bought. But he knew she wasn't okay. . . all because he wasn't either.
"No." Her voice was sickeningly quiet. Almost hushed enough to the point where even he could barely hear it. "I already finished." Another lie was told, but off a new set of lips. Ones that kept in more than they should. And with a simple nod from the boy, she could feel her stomach drop in relief. Having been able to avoid telling him that she gave up her own college experience for her brother. Because seeing him succeed meant more to her. Even if she had to work multiple jobs just to keep him afloat.
"I see." Taheyung got to his feet. Watching the girl get up as well with hesitation present in her form as she led him to the front door. Seeing as though Jungkook wasn't going to come back out. And sitting there practically talking to a stranger was not one of the things either had intended to do for the day.
"Well it was nice meeting you." She smiled up at him. Taking hold of the door handle in which Taehyung voiced out a gentle you too before she opened the door. Revealing her boyfriend who stood there with a smirk adorning his lips.
"And who would this be?" The man stepped past Taehyung. Taking hold of the girls waist while diligently pressing a kiss to the skin of her neck.
"This is Jungkook's friend, Taheyung. Taehyung meet, Jimin. . . my boyfriend." There was a feeling of apprehension throughout her last set of words. And she didn't know why she wanted to keep Jimin a secret to a boy that she didn't even know existed. But the exchange of looks between the two was enough to have her pushing Jimin into the house. Telling him to wait for her while she said her final goodbyes to Taehyung. Not knowing that they were her first. . . but far from her last.
