"Jungkook." The said boy already knew who it was that sang out his name. The sound of it deep enough to have his head instantly turning to look at the man who's arm came around his shoulder. "Yoongi told me the good news."
"Good news?" Jungkook met Taehyung's eyes. Noticing the danger lying underneath them even if he chose to ignore it. Because Taehyung was company. And he needed that more than ever.
"You cleared your first deal with him." Taehyung watched the way realization hit the boy. The same boy who didn't want to shine glory on his success. Because dealing was business. And he was just getting started.
"So what?" Jungkook let himself release a laugh. Disregarding Taehyung's playful ways as the elder etched a smirk onto his lips.
"Don't go acting so cocky already. . ." His words were so slow. Slow enough to have Jungkook glaring at him with a scoff as he shoved the man from off his body.
"Cocky my ass. I just need the money, okay?"
"That's what they all say, kook." It was. Because next was the greed. Greed that would have some doing fucking anything just to see another dollar roll in. Or to be the ones who's making the orders. . . not taking them.
"You know I'm only doing this for, Nami." He was. But all motives soon take a turn in life as Taehyung's ears instantly perked at the sound of her name. Her name that always felt like taboo.
And Taehyung could already notice the smugness that overtook his being. Because Nami was hopeless. Was confused. And was drowning in her own sorrow that she herself had created because even with both Jimin and Jungkook to rely on keeping her happy, there was never anyone she could relate to. Or feel as though she wasn't the one being put on the back burner just so others could receive all the glory as Jungkook continued making his way to where she was. Dragging Taehyung along with him even if the boy didn't need to do so. Because Taehyung had been going to the cafe just for her. Just to build that trust that would be his only way to break the girl who's eyes instantly lit up the minute she caught sight of her brother. Her brother being the same boy Taehyung would have Yoongi distract. . . in order to get her all too himself.
"Why aren't you in class?" She let her eyes narrow ever so softly. All while finishing up cleaning the table that the two took a seat at before Taehyung made contact with her sight. Causing her gaze to instantly soften as she smiled at the man who returned the gesture. And Jungkook noticed. He always did.
"There was none today." It was Taehyung who answered. Creating a new aura as Nami let her brows lift in realization.
But she didn't say a word. Having done nothing more than push back the hair that loosely framed the contours of her face as Taehyung watched the girl. Immediately noticing the diamond bracelet that engulfed the slimness of her wrist.
"I see Jimin got you something. . ." There was some sort of cockiness in his tone as the words slipped from his tongue. Cockiness that had Jungkook immediately leaning back in his seat with a swift tilt of the head.
"No, Jungkook got me this." Nami looked down at her wrist with a smile. All before peering up at the boy who caught Taehyung's eyes. Taehyung's eyes that gleamed with sudden amusement. Because he knew how it worked. . . the greed. And how the money always made people want more. Want more to show off. Want more to brag about.
"So that's what you were saving for. . . huh?" Taehyung let his fingers glide along the table. Allowing for the tension to only rise between him and Jungkook while Nami watched. Noticing the sudden tightness of her brothers jaw that ticked from the elders words. Because he didn't want her to become suspicious. But she wouldn't. Not yet.
