"Grayson, what the hell is happening?!"

Sonya manages to reach me without being drawn away from my powers going crazy. Sparks of electricity fly off my skin and everything around me lacks color. It doesn't matter anyways, I can barely see past the blur of salty water escaping my tear ducts. A deeply rooted panic erupts in my body as I find a strange foggy darkness crawling over the mind reader's shoulder. I push away from her, crawling backwards to the door.

"No no no no-" My voice is hoarse, I can barely get the words out without spit and guck getting into my airways. Sonya's body grows dull, more dull than it was from me sucking up all the color. Her face pale, her eyes are heavy looking. I use the wall to pick myself up off the ground, then try running away. I can't watch this. I don't need to see this- My thoughts are immediately cut off when burning claws wrap around my ankle, where I have a pastel pentagram from G-G.

"Grayson!" I turn back to Lyra, then to my foot. The stuffed goat-fish latches onto my leg, burning through my jeans and ripping energy out of my body. I yelp, dropping to my knees in the doorway. Tahain is a few feet away from me, completely knocked out and the cut on his face is bleeding through his scab. Large amounts of energy drain out of my body, making my arms weak. I twist my torso around, using my flexibility. I reach for the demon leaching off my foot but when I go to grab G-G, he breaks away, leaving the pentagram to be dull and powerless.

"What's going on? Are- are you okay?" Arthur appears in front of me with his hands on my shoulders. He forces my torso straight and I feel the pain from my ankle fade to a lesser pain. I meet eyes with him, still panicking and hiccing from crying. The colors come back when I see his face, my heartbeat slows. However, I turn around to see whether what just happened was real or not. Lyra sits on the bed, a bead of water floating in front of her face as she stares deeply into the droplet.

An eardrum stunning screech rings into my ears as I revert my irises closer to Sonya and the heavy fog. Now, Light, the smokey demon, takes on a more humanoid form. A form I haven't seen since the morning I was introduced to Light. He appears to have greasy rooted waves for hair and heavy black bags under his eyes. Despite looking youthful with clear skin and smoothe cheeks, Light's gray skin creates a withered appearance. His eyes are human-like, lacking black scleras and purely silvery blue irises.

He glares at me with those sharp eyes with a strong grin on his face. His hand moves off of Sonya, revealing a familiar bright purple and black pentagram on the left side of her neck. The poor girl's eyes roll back, leading to her collapsing to the floor. Light stands up, taking a step closer to Arthur and I.

"Leave."

I whip my head around to stare into Arthur's eyes. He freezes, staring back at me. Light's footsteps come to a halt. I push Arthur away. "I SAID LEAVE! GO UPSTAIRS OR SOMETHING!" I elevate my voice, scaring Arthur away and causing him to fall on Tahain. Tahain's fingers twitch, I dash my eyes to the ferrous by the stairs. My voice turns into a screech when an ice cold hand brushes against the back of my shirt, right above the pentagram on my lower back. "LUCY! GET THEM OUT OF HERE, NOW!"

She immediately takes action, my mind control keeping her at work as she pulls Arthur off the ground. She shoves the empath to the stairs. Arthur glances back at me with pain in his eyes. Just the right amount of daylight shines past his face, making his ill eye nearly glow with the sunlight. For a moment, I forget the fear creating a tremble in my hands. His sweet and sympathetic eyes create a twist in my stomach and sneaky curl of the lips.
