"And the princess totally kicked the evil priest's ass with her crazy white wings glowing the whole time pretty much. Then Antonio took his shackle and-! Grayson! You're back- And you look miserable." Ayo pauses his story as I step out of the library. All of the eyes in the room turn to me.
"You doing alright, Grayson? You appear...very tired." Arthur comes to his feet, immediately questioning my slow actions and irritation boiling up inside me. I nod, forcing a laugh and putting my acting skills to use. Truth be told, I'm reaching the last straw with stress capacity. I can't let anyone know that though, I've already proven to be too much of a problem for everyone else.
"I'm fine, I'm just still bummed after what happened earlier, haha!" I loosen up, waltzing into the area and pushing Arthur back on the couch. I throw myself onto his lap, letting my feet rest on Aaron's lap. He rolls his eyes, letting his cheek sit on his hand. Meanwhile, Arthur glares me down, knowing there's lying taking place. I offer a toothy grin and roughly kiss his neck, hitting his weak spot. He's quick to look away after that.
"Grayson, can you explain why you've been acting so fucking weird? You're like a chick on the rag, dude." Aaron groans, getting a hand upside the head from Lyra. I force myself to breathe away any sort of hot steam in my chest. Aaron rubs his head. "What the frick, why does everyone like hitting me?"
"Shut up!" Lyra and Sonya both snap at the tiny scyra. Aaron huffs and goes back to being quiet.
"Heh, well um, I should head home...I'll bring Antonio tomorrow!" Ayo-Aerial awkwardly sneaks to the front door. I jump off of Arthur, allowing him to say his goodbyes.
"You just got here, man!" I sigh. I suddenly feel Sonya's eyes on me. I turn to the quiet gal, and my head bursts into pain. I gasp, holding my temples and closing my eyes hard enough to see bright colors on my eyelids.
"It's time, your highness." A looming voice whispers into my ear. I push myself away from the demon speaking to me, leading to my fall into a glass vase next to one of the couches.
"Get away from me, Percy!" I scream, overwhelming fear taking over my body. I know he said something would happen soon, but not this soon, right?
"Grayson!" Arthur crashes into the floor after me. He lands a hand on my chest, sending me into a slumber.
...
"I wonder why Grayson flipped out like that..." An echo of Aaron's voice from outside of the room reaches my ears.
"I don't know, I'm genuinely worried about him now. He's been acting strange, hasn't he?" Arthur says, sighing and closing the door. I open my eyes with blurry vision. I scan my surroundings, nearly jumping out of my skin at the sight of the mummy demon sitting beside me. I breathe in to scream, but he puts a finger over his lips.
"They're still outside the door, be quiet." He speaks, having a voice almost identical to mine. This is the first time I've heard his voice.
"Are you going to hurt me? What's happening to me?" I whisper, a crack in my voice echoes throughout the room. The demon sits on the bed,
"I won't hurt you necessarily, not unless you give me reason to. As for what is happening to you...heh. Congratulations, you're following in my footsteps." The demon speaks, his old urian accent coming through. He turns to me with a toothy grin, showing off intense fangs on both the top and bottom of his mouth.
