Prologue

The wind, the adrenaline, the pure happiness of the rush. When she looks at him she feels complete. Their hands interlocking brings butterflies to her stomach. His anger made her love him even more. He could murder someone in cold blood, she still wouldn't care. She will always love him. You can say it's because she's a crazy, creative, loving, forgiving Russian woman. Honestly, she just loves him enough to look past his cold exterior. Look past his hatred and murderous ways. When she looks past everything, she sees a soft, loving man. A man who was treated, raised and born in the wrong environment. He's exactly like the saying, 'wrong place, wrong time.'

Her name is Natalya Roman, a quirky, sweet brown haired woman. She lives in a small town near Central City. Her lifestyle is simple and to the point. Taking care of foster kids half the week and being a cashier the other half. Barely having anytime to herself or loved ones. This beautiful, young, caring woman fell in love with a monster.

A man that parents tell their kids at night to scare them. The man that takes down the superheros and breaks out of prison. He's a villain, murderer, pyromaniac! His name is Mick Rory, known criminal who worked with Leonard Snart once upon a time.

How did Natalya not know who he was in the past? How she didn't see anything coming? Why she let him pretend to be 'Mike' and take care of the children? Why didn't she report him when she finally knew who he was?

It's because she is in love, and you never rat out the person you love.
