Isabell was swinging on the swing

"Yeeeeee!" She'd say every time the swing would go higher

"I honestly don't know where to start from.. I guess I'll just start from myself first" Ella said
"Alex told me he loved me that night before we caught you guys. I loved Alex too.. I always had a crush on him ever since I was little. You knew about that. When that night we saw the both of you I was heart broken. I lost the man I loved and also my best friend. I should've believed you Di, I really should've but I didn't. Instead I took the dark road. A few days later Jacquline took me to a club. She said it'll help me forget everything. I really wanted to forget everything! I really did. So I got drunk and the next morning woke up in hades bed. At first I freaked out but he talked to me told me it was the best night of his life and all that bullshit. I was broken at that time and I fell for his lies. Things escalated quickly and a month later he proposed.." Ella said as a tear rolled down her cheek

"I wasn't acting the same. I had completely changed. I went out clubbing almost every other night. Dad wasn't happy with my ways. We'd constantly fight. So when hade proposed the next day I prepared myself and told papa. He's already met hade one day when he brought me home drunk. Papa instantly disliked him. I mean I wouldn't blame him which dad would want his daughter coming home drunk in the arms of another man. Papa was furious that day. It was as if hell broke lose. He said he didn't agree to the marriage. But I didn't care I was so madly in love with hade.. or so I thought that I was. When I told him I didn't care about his opinion... he said he's disowned me.." Ella broke out crying.

I put my hand around Ella to comfort her. Isabell was here and I didn't want her to see her mother crying.

"Jacqueline said she'd arrange everything for the wedding since she already knew hade. They both were friends. Lucas didn't like Hade either he'd warned me about him but like I said I had changed and I didn't care. Fast forward to the wedding day.. mom and dad did show up only because it was ruining the family reputation and it was going to effect the firm." Ella said

"Who sent you the invite?" Ella asked

I looked away not wanting to remember that day, "Lucas did"

Ella playfully hit me on the arm, "Look at my big brother being all discrete"

"It wasn't like that.. he sent it only because you were all alone" I replied coldly

Ella got a hint and didn't say anything afterwards

"How did you guys start talking again?" I asked

"When I told them I was pregnant.. Papa always wanted to be a grandad." Ella laughed

And I laughed too

"You looked beautiful on your wedding day. No one would've guessed the real story. It looked like a perfect fairytale to me... And Hade seemed like the perfect gentleman" I said

"Never judge a book by its cover" Ella smiled as she pushed the swing

"And Lucas? Why is Papa angry with him?"

Ella looked at me the mischievous smile back on her lips

Oh god please no

"Someone's interested" she laughed "You already know he'd been a wreck after he thought you cheated on him. I mean believe it or not but my brother loved you like crazy. And to say he was heartbroken would be an understatement"

My heart ached at Ella's words

"He took the dark road just like me. He got involved in the clubbing life. He was what you'd call a playboy. Everyday a different girl on his arm. It was creating a bad reputation the firm. That's when papa and Lucas started having their differences." Ella continued "though they haven't been talking much but Lucas has changed a little. He's no longer a playboy. He's dating a girl called Juliet. Both are lawyers.. she's nice and pretty but I haven't gotten the chance to talk much to her"

I furrowed my brows, "You and Lucas don't talk much either right?"

Ella sighed, "Yeah we don't.."

"Does he come visit Isabell?" I asked

"Not visit.. its more like whenever I go to mom's and Lucas is over he plays with her" she said, a hurtful look in her eyes

"I can't believe him" I said "what caused the drift between both of you?"

"We both got busy with our own lives. Time created that gap." Ella said "but he loves Isabell.. he's not as warm with kids as he used to be but I can tell"

I nodded my head

Oh Lucas why had you changed so much?

I'm not even sure if I love you anymore
