| Five years later |

It was raining cats and dogs. I was sitting in my apartment next to the window from where I could see the entire New York City at night time.

There were light everywhere

The noisy city sounded so peaceful from up here.

Yes I live in a huge apartment with two floors. The main floor has a kitchen, a lounge, a guest room with a balcony and a small gym

The upper floor has two rooms and a study.

I spend most of my time in the study but today's a different day.

The weather is great and I'm feeling nostalgic.

The main reason being that's I miss my only best friend who I haven't talked to in years.

I've been though such a rough time in my life where I needed Ella the most but she wasn't there.

The last time I saw her was on her wedding

I never saw her after that.

I just used to see her social media once a while to see what she was doing.

No she had unfriended me from every where so I could only see her public posts on Facebook.

She has a two year old daughter now. Her name is Isabell.

And she looks exactly like Ella, oh how I wish she'd told me about her child.

Now I wonder if me coming to her wedding was the right thing to do.

Maybe Lucas was right I should've never showed up.

I snuggled comfortably in my comforter chair and hugged the blanket tightly against self as another thunder was heard.

I'd always loved this weather

It soothes my heart and gives a peaceful environment.

"Hurry! Run we're going to be drenched by the time we reach the farmhouse" Ella yelled

It was raining heavily and the sky bolted with thunder

I know it wasn't safe to run around during the thunder but we didn't know the weather was going to get so bad when we went out for a walk

It was Ella's twentieth birthday and she decided to spend it with me at her farmhouse

After running for what felt li hours we made it to the horse stable

"I'll run inside and get you a coat, you wait here" Ella said

I nodded

The wind was blowing and I shivered each time the cold wind would hit my wet body

I felt someone put a coat over me

"That was quick" I said to Ella as I hugged the coat around my body

I turned around to see it wasn't Ella but Lucas

A smile came across Lucas's face as he saw my shocked expression

"Uh.. I thought it was Ella"  I mumbled

He kept on looking at me with amusement in his eyes

Gosh I was making such a fool out of myself

The I realised I hadn't even thanked him

"Oh uh.. thank you" I said

He smiled, "anytime" he walked closer and pulled the coat causing me to fall onto him

I put my hand on his chest as an attempt to prevent myself from further falling on top of him

The last thing I wanted was for Lucas to think I was one of those needy girls

I looked up to see Lucas, we stayed in the same position and kept on looking at each other

For some reason Lucas kept on coming closer

Oh boy I knew where this was going

"Lu- Uh Lucas what.. are you doing" I asked

He came even closer a mischievous smile on his lips

His breath was now fanning my ear as he whispered, "I was just doing this"

He pulled my coat to close its buttons so that I wouldn't feel any colder

I blushed into a deep shade of red as Lucas started laughing

I was so busy thinking about the past that I didn't know when I feel asleep.

I was woken up by someone ringing on my door.

Who could it be I wondered?

I slowly pushed the blanket to a side and got down from the comforter chair

I smiled as at the old memory I dreamt.

Yes even though five yes ago I broke all ties with the Sullivan family but I still thought about Lucas

At my weak moments I'd go and search him on google to see how his life was going.

Yes I missed him

I'd never stopped missing him

He was the only guy that ever cared for me.

But he also broke my heart years ago when he didn't trust me

There are times when I think about Lucas and every cell of my body misses him

But there were also time when I hate Lucas and I hate him with every cell of my body

The door bell ringer again

I tied my hair into a ponytail and walked downstairs

Now whoever was on the door was ringing the bell continuously

What the fuck is wrong with this person

I'm coming I screamed

As I went to the door I opened it without having a look at who it was in the small hole

But I swear to God this was the last person I was expecting to see today

Was I still dreaming?

I felt like the entire air from my lungs had knocked out
