I woke up, pulling my shirt on as I got out of bed. Juliet was still in bed with only a blanket covering her body.
Memorises of last night played in my head.
I was busy doing work in my office when Juliet knocked on my door with a Champaign bottle in her hand. A mischievous smile was playing on her lips.
I knew exactly what that smile meant. And to be honest I was completely exhausted from working for straight nine hours.

Juliet and I had been dating for more than an year. I know we had some misunderstandings a few months back but I'm glad everything is back to normal.

I wasn't one to fall into a relationship too soon but with Juliet it felt right.

After five years I finally found my peace with her.

The last five years had completely changed me. I was no longer the same warm hearted Lucas people knew.

Over the past year I've worked on improving my reputation by dating Juliet.

At first we both didn't have much to talk about but slowly we became closer and things quickly escalated.

I looked at Juliet one last time before I headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower.

I got out of the shower in fifteen minutes. I was completely dressed in my pant suit ready to head to work.

Juliet was no longer in bed, I assumed she'd already left or was either in the kitchen.

I checked my phone since I went to bed early last night.

I had a few missed calls from mom and some from Ella

Wow what really happened last night

Ella barely ever called me after she got married and mom only called when there was something important to discuss

I opened moms message

When you see this call me back ASAP

I smiled and I read moms message and went to check Ella's

I'm back in Michigan.. She's with me too

It took me a while before I processed Ella's message

Diane was back in town

I felt someone sneak their hands around me. I turned around to see Juliet.

She was wearing nothing except one of my shirts.

She bit her plump lips, "Is everything okay baby?"

I swallowed the lump in my throat, "Yeah I'm just late to work.." I placed a kiss on her lips
"I'm going, you can eat something before you leave"

She smiled and nodded

Picking the car keys from the coffee table I went outside and drove myself to the firm.
