The Faults Of Her Sex Life

Chapter 5

Dani was blushing profusely as she read the message from Justin over and over agian. What could she say to that? She got butterflies every time she read it aloud. "I'm sure I could get more pleasure from you ;)", she typed out on her phone, then immediately erased it, wishing she had the confidence to send something that risky.

"So far, it has been very... interesting. LOL", she typed out and this time, sent it. She couldn't tell if Justin was just being nice? Maybe he felt bad for her, since Shannon totally called her a prude unknowingly in front fo him. Or was he actually being forward with her?

Then, suddenly Dani's phone dinged again, indicating Justin had texted her back. "I promise the entire book is... interesting. ;) It will probably make you feel... interesting too, if it hasn't already. LOL", she audibally gasped as she read the message. Okay, he's definitely being forward, she decided. She really wanted to text him back and see what else he would say, but she needed to get to sleep so that she wouldn't be late for work again. She put her phone on the charger, and set it on her nighstant beside her bed. She went and found her favorite unicorn pajamas, and got herself all ready and tucked in for bed. Before she went to sleep, she decided to read over the message again one more time, just like she tended to do with her books.

The next morning, Dani woke up on time and thankfully made into work early so that she wouldn't anger Daniel again. Her day was going by pretty slowly, it was a Thursday and kind of slow at the restaraunt. She was spending most of her time doing minimal tasks just to make the time pass, like sweeping the floors or organizing the hostess desk.

Usually Dani tends to keep her phone on vibrate and in her pocket while working, however she must have forgotten to do that today because she hears a ding come from her pocket as she is cleaning off a table. She stops what she is doing to look at what the message says, there is only one table that is occupied by an elderly couple across the room so it shouldn't disrupt anything if she looks at her phone for a second.

"Can I take you out? Normally, I would ask this in person, but I haven't any idea of when I will see you again and I couldn't wait anyways."

Dani stood there in the middle of the restaurant, gawking at her phone. She definitely did not expect that Justin was going to ask her out, especially so soon and over the phone. Although she didn't blame him for doing it through a text, after all he was right about not knowing when he would see her again. After a couple of minutes, she decided to reply to his message. "Like a date?", the text message read.

    "Why in the world are you standing here like an idiot on your phone? Do your damn job before I have to. Table 9 is waiting on their check.", Daniel said, coming out of no where. Well, most likely he came out of somewhere, but Dani was too distracted to actually notice him before he had spoken up. Dani instantly tucked her phone into her back pocket, all the while blushing a deep red color.

    "I'm sorry, I will take Table 9 their check right now. Thank you for bringing it to my attention", Dani replied curtly. Daniel simply grunted in response and walked off.

    Later when Dani was able to take a fifteen minute break, she pulled her phone back out, hoping she would see a message from Justin. She was disappointed when she unlocked her phone and found that the only new message was from Shannon asking if Dani wanted to go to Beans & Peeps tonight, apparently it was karaoke night and Shannon would most likely take advantage of any of the hot male singers that showed up. Rolling her eyes, Dani responded to Shannon's message accepting her request for tonight. Hopefully, this time nobody ends up having sex in Dani's bathroom, Dani thought to herself.

    Work continued to be slow for Dani, however towards the end of her shift a whole party of twelve business men came in asking to be seated. A few of the guys nonchalantly checked Dani out, raking their eyes all over her body without a care in the world at how inappropriate it was. It made Dani feel very uncomfortable, so she quickly seated the men and got their orders out of the way. One guy, whom everyone was referring to as Cody, would not even take his eyes away from Dani's breasts as she spoke. She wanted desperately to berate the man for his behavior, and let him know that her eyes were indeed up here. Dani wasn't insecure about her body, she knew that her boobs were a little larger than average being that they were double d's, however she did not think that should excuse a man's lack of respect. Thankfully, he only tried to hit on Dani once, saying something about how his keys were in his pocket and if she would like to reach for them, he would gladly take her home with him. To which Dani ignored, but could have easily hit him over the head with one of the plates on the table for acting in such a manor.

    Beans & Peeps was pretty crowded tonight, a lot more crowded than Dani had seen before. Apparently, their little town had lots of aspiring singers and musicians. Dani had always loved music and the way it could make her feel, but unfortunately never had any talents that could get her into that industry. Many of the singers who had signed up for the karaoke night looked as if they were younger than Dani, and most looked as if they were going to puke up their lunch any second.

    Dani had been checking her phone all day since she had last sent that text message to Justin, clarifying if he was asking her on a date or not. She was starting to get really nervous, perhaps he meant as just friends and she freaked him out by jumping to the conclusion that it was a date. Every couple of minutes she would check her phone, sigh in disappointment at the lack of notifications, and then begrudgingly lay the phone back on the table. Every time she did this, Shannon would glance her way and would sometimes ask if everything was okay, which of course Dani dismissed.

    A short, Hispanic boy was on the small stage singing a beautiful rendition of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love With You". He was strumming along with his ukulele, effortlessly belting out the chorus. While Dani was listening to the boy's beautiful voice, she heard her phone ding. She wanted to instantly grab it and hastily unlock it to see if the message was from Justin or not, however she wouldn't allow herself do that. She had some dignity, after all. So she slowly picked up her phone and put her PIN in to unlock it. Her face lit up the moment she read his text message, "Yes, like a date. How is tomorrow night? Say around 8? :)". She noticed this time he did not use a winky face, but instead a smiley face. Wonder why he decided to change it up? She thought to herself before typing out a reply.

    "8 sounds great." She giggled at her reply because it rhymed, causing Shannon to look over at her with a curious look on her face.

    "Don't tell me you were laughing because you were thinking about that cat joke I told hours ago again", Shannon said with a flat look.

    "No! Although that was hilarious", she stopped to laugh over that joke once more, then continued, "I actually have a date tomorrow".

    "What?! Please tell me with hot 50 Shades guy!" Shannon exclaimed a little too loudly, causing people to bring their attention away from the singer on stage.

    "Shhh, you're being a distraction from the performance. But yes, with him!" Dani whispered, all the while unable to keep the grin off of her face. She was unbelievably excited to see Justin again tomorrow, now just to figure out what she was going to wear.
