The next couple of days passed by, Dani spent longer hours at the restaurant and hung out with Shannon when she wasn't working. She was trying to keep her mind busy and off of Justin, who had only texted her once since that night. Dani was hoping he would have at least given her an explanation, but all his text read was "Hey, sorry I'm going to be out of town again this week. I'l be back on Friday again, can I see you then?" Dani, of course, had replied saying that she would love to see him on Friday, but she also asked if everything was okay, to which he never replied. Dani was full of worry, her paranoia of what could possibly be going on eating away at her. Shannon being around definitely helped, except when Aaron was with her. The two of them being together and acting like a couple only made her think of Justin more, she missed him.
"Why can't you remember to keep the menu box filled?" Daniel berated Dani.
"I'm sorry, people usually put them back in the box at their table and I'm unable to reach them when they are seated there", Dani apologized.
"Don't fucking apologize. Just fix it." Daniel ordered angrily. Dani couldn't help but feel like a puppy being cornered by a pit bull, she honestly was frightened by Daniel in moments like this.
"Yes, Sir." Daniel walked away, most likely to either go yell at a different employee or to find some girl to seduce. Either way, Dani was thankful that he had left her alone.
Today was Thursday, so Dani only had to get through the rest of tonight until she would see Justin again, and hopefully get some answers. She didn't like being in the dark like this.
Daniel had asked, more like ordered, Dani to work late tonight. As far as she knew, that usually meant that he was going out to cheat on his wife again, or at least that's what she has gathered from the previous times. Dani walked by Daniel's office to grab her jacket from her locker, but she stopped when she caught a glimpse of his desk, reminscing how it felt to be bent over it by Justin.
"What do you mean you're busy?" Dani heard Daniel whisper yell, most likely on the phone since everyone else had left already.
"My wife?! What are you talking about? I don't have a wife sweetheart." Dani rolled her eyes and mentally scoffed.
"Okay, okay I do have a wife, but we are getting a divorce, I'm not in love with her," Daniel said pathetically.
"I just hadn't told her we were getting a divorce yet, I wanted to make sure things were going to work out with you-" Daniel suddenly stopped, then slammed the phone down. The girl on the other end must have realized he was lying and hung up on him, Dani snickered at this before running over to her locker to grab that jacket. While she was putting it on, she saw Daniel step out of his office and walk towards her.
"Did you tell my wife that I was seeing someone else?" Daniel screamed at her.
"N- N- No Sir", Dani squeaked out. "You told me not to."
Daniel softened for a moment, then took a second to let his eyes rake over Dani's body. Dani suddenly felt even more uncomfortable than she did when he was yelling at her. She mentally slapped herself for wearing a skirt today because that was where his eyes seem to linger.
"I like it when you call me that", his eyes darkened. His hand reached out to touch her leg, slowly raking up her skirt. Dani froze, she was too afraid to move even a muscle. Daniel's hand then cupped her butt, kneading it with his fingers.
"Is this why you always defy me? You're jealous of the girls I seduce and sleep with?" He smirked. Dani's eyes went wide, she was afraid that if she told him the truth it would anger him, she didn't know what to do or say. "Answer me you little bitch."
"No, S- Sir."
"Or maybe you just like to be punished?" He said as he slapped her butt, causing Dani to wince. His fingers then began to wander into her panties, Dani was trembling with fear. He then roughly thrusted a finger inside her, which made her cry out in pain.
"Get off of me!" She screamed out, finally finding her voice. "Get the fuck off of me!" She slapped Daniel across his face, his hands instantly going to cover it which gave Dani a window to run. She ran away as fast as she could, not even taking a moment to look back. She ran out of the restaurant, and thankfully her car keys were inside her jacket so she was able to jump in her car and speed away. She drove straight home, constantly checking her rearview mirror to make sure Daniel wasn't following her. Once she felt safe enough, she pulled into her parking lot and parked her car. She sat there for a moment, her eyes beginning to water. Within a few minutes, Dani was wheezing and having a full blown panic attack. She had only had a few over the years, but she knew how to bring herself out of one. She began to think of her Mom, about a memory she had when she was younger. Her Mom had taken her to the fair, and they had went to see every attraction there was. Her thoughts wandered to popcorn, cotton candy, clowns, and the circus. Dani could feel herself relaxing at the thought of the happy memory.
Her breathing back to normal, Dani finally decided to get out of her car. She felt disgusting, like she was walking around in someone else's body. She rushed up to her apartment, taking a shower as soon as she got there. She must have scrubbed herself at least ten times, just wanting to rid her body of Daniel's unwanted touch. As she scrubbed her thighs, her mind flashed back to when he was pinning her against the locker and speaking darkly into her ear. She rushed over to the toilet, puking immediately from the flashback. She turned the shower off and grabbed a towel, however she felt the need to puke again so she went and sat next to the toilet on the floor. She hated herself for not telling Daniel to get off of her sooner, or for not pushing him away when he started. She curled up on the floor next to the toilet in the fetal position, quietly sobbing herself to sleep.
