"Let's go see my pics!" she sang grabbing my hand and began to pull me through the crowd not caring about the people she elbowed out of the way.

I let her pull me, my eyes following the movements of the stranger with the copper eyes. It was definitely him, that fake Uber driver. I noted the black suit he wore with a gold tie. From this far I could make out his raven coloured hair, and judging by how he matched the height of heeled woman around him I noted he was tall. His eyes then turned, locking onto mine.

"What's wrong?" Yuma asked when I stopped walking.

I looked over at her and forced a smile, "Nothing. I'm going to get a drink first then I'll find you – do you want anything?"

She giggled throwing her hair over her shoulder and shook her head.

"I'm ok for now, but you down a shot for me and get your ass back," she told me giving me a little shove towards the bar.

I nodded, waiting until she turned to wander off then my eyes scanned the crowd once again as I walked slowly towards the bar. Chattering gorgeous woman and men were all around me yet he was nowhere to be seen.

I finally got to the bar and lingered around until a stool cleared up and I slid onto it. The bartender ignored me as I rose my hand and I frowned slightly. It was clear she had an attitude but I couldn't understand why she was ignoring just me.

"Uh excuse me?" I called over the loudness around us.

She glared at me pausing for a second before snapping, "You need to wait. I'm busy."

I shrank back at her hostility and her lip curled up into a smirk. She flicked her long black hair over her shoulder and skipped away. I was about to get up and go back to Yuma when someone placed a hand on the small of my back.

I froze as that deep musical voice rumbled, "I think my friend wanted a drink."

The bartender turned, her eyes growing wide at the person who sat beside me as she battered her thick lashes at him and stuck out her lips to make them appear bigger. With the combination of the eye twitches and lip spasms she looked much like Herold.

"My friend," he purred and her eyes turned towards me.

Her demeanour changed again and it seemed hostility waved off her aggressively. I shrank back asking politely for a rum and coke. She said nothing towards me as she fixed my drink and slammed it down in front of me. I went to hand her a bill however, a hand shot past me beating me to it.

It was then I turned towards the man who sat on a stool beside me. He watched me with his copper eyes full of curiosity and caution. I watched him with wide eyes and although fear coursed through me I wanted to know who he was. What he wanted.

"You've changed since this morning haven't you?" he purred.

"Extensions and padding," I told him, my face heating up.

He knocked his head back and laughed, the musical noise causing a few lingering glances towards him but he didn't seem to notice or mind. Instead, I waited until the laughter stopped and he grinned at me.

"Is that what you told your friend tonight?" he asked snickering.

"Who are you?" I whispered no longer able to hold my fear back.

The fact he knew that I had come here with Yuma just confirmed that he was following me. But why me? Out of all the people he could follow he picked me. And no doubt in my mind told me it had to do with whatever was going on with me. The glow up, the water – everything.
