Epilogue | A familiar story.
Kenexa:
I watched as Maeve Bishop hugged the poor wealthy boy tightly. It was then, I turned back to the shadows and moved through them. In a flash I was moving back to where sister Nix was sitting against those marble gates.
"Will they be ok now?" sister Nix asked tilting her head towards me.
I nodded, a smile on my face, "I think the wars will finally be over now. How cleaver little Bishop was, to switch my book and that diary. Now no one will ever know where my grimoire rests. Not until the next generation, and the next war."
"Good," sister sighed, her form melting away to reveal her true appearance, "Unfortunately, it would seem there is no way back to our home."
I nodded sadly. We had been away from home for so long it was no wonder we'd eventually be locked out. I stepped out of the shadows. Sister Nix's white feathered wings broke free of her back and she faced me, holding out her hand.
"Well then, we have two options: continue to be the gods of this realm or visit our little brother Lucifer?" she hummed.
I took her hand and sighed softly, "I suppose the witches will always need us. Who are we to turn a blind eye to our father's favourite creation?"
She nodded, changing forms once more, "I couldn't agree more. I cannot wait to see what their future unravels into."
I chuckled, "I'll bet you ten years in the Abyss Maeve Bishop and that Henryson Redd have three children."
"Assuming they'll marry? Alright, I'll bet they'll have five," Sister Nix laughed.
Only time would tell in the end.
