"The Ford is up ahead!" Robin yelled at Caspian as they raced through the forest. They had hoped the Telmarnies would have stopped at the edge of the wood but they didn't. Although they must have stopped because they seemed farther away than earlier to Robin.
The Ford came faster than they both expected. Soon the forest peeled away and the grass turned to rocks then the rocks to a fast flowing current of water. Both horses went at top speed into the water and started wading across. Robin looked back to see the soldiers right behind them and into the water. Robin gave no attempt to urge Glade forward faster he was in water that was to his neck, there was no way he could make it across any faster.
There were shouts and Robin turned around once more to see a horse fall over and the rider be carried down stream. Then they were out of the water and on the other side heading straight into the Shuddering Wood.
Robin felt her whole world change as she enter her world: the world of Narnia. She felt freer and so did Glade. He pounced over the next fallen log like Robin's panther self.
New thoughts streamed into Robin's mind as she rode along, thoughts of getting help from Glenstorm and his sons and brothers to take back Narnia. With all these thoughts running through her head she didn't notice Caspian's head get knocked against a branch and he go falling down. She did notice though when he started getting dragged along.
There wasn't much she could do while she was on Glade, especially since the fall spooked Destrier to run harder and start getting away from Robin. "Ugh...you stupid horse." She muttered as she made sure Glade didn't crush Caspian while she went after Destrier's head reins. She never reached them before the prince got his foot out of the stirrup. The horse continued on and Robin had to completely force Glade into a stop before she could jump off his back. "Go on, Glade. Go find Glenstorm." She pushed his neck and told him to run on, after a moments hesitation he reared and rode off.
Robin ran toward Caspian as the sound of a door opening reached them. "Caspian are-" Robin stopped mid-sentence and mid-step. The large tree before them, with it's roots coming high out of the ground and down into the ground below, had opened up under one of the large roots. There two Dwarves walked out. One had a blonde-red beard and a bald head on top and the same color hair flowing down from there. The second Dwarf had grayish black hair and beard the same as the first.
"He's seen us." The dark haired Dwarf said, apparently Robin was invisible--which she wouldn't mind.
The red Dwarf came forward with his sword out, he glanced at Caspian, then Robin, then to the package--that Cornelius had given Caspian--on the ground. Inside the cloth was a horn in the shape of a lion's head roar. Robin immediately recognized it as Susan's horn. Caspian slowly started moving toward it. Horses whined and thundering hooves could be heard. Then out of the trees came the Telmarine soldiers.
"Take care of him." The red Dwarf told the black one. Then he ran off toward the on coming riders. Caspian took this chance and grabbed the horn raising it to the sky he blew. The Dwarf that was to 'take care of him' yelled a "No!" and before Robin could stop him, he knocked Caspian out.
Caspian moved his head slightly to find that it hurt. Slowly he opened his eyes, but still it hurt. The room was dark and completely made of wood. The ceiling he stared at had a curve to it and designs that ran around it in beads. He slowly sat up as the sound of voices reached him. Taking a bandage off his head he stood up and walked toward the opening of the small room he was in.
"You are a complete idiot." Robin said through clenched teeth as she leaned against the wall across from the Dwarf by the name of: Nikabrik. Her back was to Caspian.
"Well, sorry I didn't have a choice now did I?" He answered taking a drink from his mug. He sat on a stool at the table that was much too small for the human. Robin stood up and glared at him, a growl echoing it's way up.
