Tossing and turning, you couldn't seem to sleep. Tomorrow was your first day at U.A. and you had gotten in through recommendations. Although you weren't interested in becoming a hero at all, your parents and your middle school teachers insisted that you become one, or at least try Yuuei. All you wanted to do was sleep, eat, read manga, and watch anime. Your two older sisters would constantly harass you for being a lazy NEET.
A sigh escaped your lips as you pulled your covers over your body. By the time you had finally fallen asleep a loud alarm signaled that it was time to get up. Having been born in a proud family, your father being a regular everyday business man who went on trips abroad often and your mother being a kindergarten teacher, your parents took pride in their appearance, this meaning they took pride in their children's as well.
Shaking off the lack of sleep and stepping into your shower, you began your long and bothersome morning routine. As you lathered your hair in a cherry scented shampoo you recalled what your mother had told you long ago.
"Mother, why do I have to use girl soap? The boys in class make fun of me calling me 'Pretty Boy'." A sniffle was heard as a (h/c) haired lady smiled holding a young teary eyed boy who began to cry. "What's wrong with being called pretty? They must be jealous." The crying boy stopped and looked up at his mother with hopeful eyes. "R-really?"
A groan erupted from your throat. Thinking back on it you realized just how childish that statement of your mothers was. And it wouldn't be the last. Having a good skin routine and regular stylish haircuts caused you to become the butt end of every joke in your elementary years.
They soon increased after the girls in middle school started admitting their undying love for you. None of them caught your eye. Never in your life were you interested with dating. You weren't interested in anything besides anime and manga. And strawberry milk. It was your absolute favorite and was required for your quirk to be at full use.
After finishing your time straining routine you pulled on your school uniform. Everything about the uniform pissed you off. They could have at least made it a little more appealing. All in all you weren't having it today. You walked out of your bedroom door and sluggishly sat at the dining room table. "Good morning, my little hero!"
The cheery voice of your mother came from the kitchen. Looking in front of you was your devilish older sister. She made faces at you, sticking out her tongue as you tried to digest any sort of food. Not getting enough sleep the previous night, you almost fell asleep while eating.
"(Y/n), what did I say about getting some rest for the first day of school?" You groaned not really caring. A hand collided with the back of your head causing a large smack sound. The hand belonging to your eldest sister who was sitting next to you. "What are we gonna do about this hopeless NEET?" she jokingly sighed.
You weren't having this. Standing up and grabbing a strawberry milk from the fridge, you left without finishing your food. Right as you stood in the middle of the doorway you stopped. "Thank you for the food, Mom. See yah later, forty year old virgin one and forty year old virgin two." Screams of outrage could be heard as you slowly shut and locked the front door. Today was gonna be rough and you knew it.
And boy oh boy, guess who wasn't wrong? Stepping into the classroom you tried to sneakily make it to a desk on the farther part of the class, unfortunately a pink student caught you out of the corner of their eye and decided to notify the whole class of your presence. "WE HAVE AN IDOL IN OUR CLASS!" You froze as her booming voice paralyzed you.
Feeling a small pat on your shoulder you turned around, to find a floating school uniform. "What in the actual fu-" Cutting off your train of thought, the school uniform spoke. Or rather a girl spoke. "Hey! I'm Hagakure Tooru! You're really cute!" You had heard about invisibility quirks but that didn't stop you from getting a little freaked out. This was not how you wanted your first day to go.
Before you had left your room earlier today, you had contemplated wearing a mask to school, but quickly decided against it since it would restrict your breathing. And how you regretted it now. The pink student was now behind you. "I'm Ashido Mina! It's so cool having an idol in our class!" You frowned. "I'm not an idol, I just, uh, kinda look this way. My names Hone (Y/n)."
More students began to crowd around you, some with sparkling eyes and some with quizzical looks. "I'll be sitting down now." Before you could sit down, a loud booming voice spoke up. "What the fuck are you assholes doing crowding around like this? Get out of my way, you extras!" The sound of the voice pissed you off. You weren't in the mood for some loud mouth egotist. Not being able to maneuver to the far side of the class, you settled on a seat in the same row that the loud mouth had sat in. You glared at the back of the blondes head. The lack of sleep had finally caught up with you, closing your eyes and laying your head on the desk, you drifted off to dream land.
That is until a new student arrived causing a commotion with a few other students. Something about the trials and troubles of the entrance exam. You didn't bother to listen. Right after their interaction was fully cleared up an older voice spoke up indicating that the teacher was here. Lazily you opened your eyes and sat up.
Peering over you saw a man that looked more done with this than you did. "That guy looks like he hasn't slept in days. And wtf is up with that ugly ass sleeping bag?" You stopped paying attention to what he had to say until he informed the class that they would not be participating in the entrance ceremony, but instead would be doing a fitness test.
You hated fitness tests. Too much work and you couldn't even use your quirk. Standing up you followed the rest of your classmates outside. You wondered why some of these students seemed so energetic about this activity. Most were as annoyed as you were, but some seemed excited. Brushing off the thought of anyone actually enjoying a fitness test, you continued walking along.
