Jungkook scoffed at the last statement chaeyoung had spoken.
He wasn't surprised.
Of course, Chaeyoung had always been cold towards him, the moment their relationship ended.
But why....
did it bother him?
Well if Chaeyoung was going to annoy him, he might as well do the same.
Jungkook, without permission, decided to walk into her home...her everything.
The place he probably low-key missed.
Chaeyoung on the other hand, was left speechless. She hated it when someone unwillingly step foot into her home.
---
Jungkook widened his eyes, without her noticing, realizing that everything had changed.
Chaeyoung may not enjoy shopping, unless if she had the need to de-stress. BUT, she definitely shopped like hell to change basically EVERYTHING. All the furniture was different, the countertop, plates, colour of the walls.
It's as if she had recently moved all over again, and done a complete make-over.
The vibe definitely felt 'single'. However, did it give a vibe of darkness?
Of course not.
The place in fact seemed more livelier than before....a bit hurtful to realize that.
There were no signs of the furniture they had bought together. It was during the time when they were head over heels for each other and so excited to finally live together in one home.
A home which Chaeyoung happily invested in and wanted to buy herself, as a way of gratitude to show that she appreciated Jungkook's intense love towards her. As long as Jungkook spent his time with her, loved her to bits, she would definitely buy a house for them to live together in.
Jungkook insisted on buying the home at least 50%, or even all of it since financial circumstances were never a problem.
Even though she came from a family where they weren't born with inherited money, her parents had worked hard and become fairly wealthy.
She was able to afford the home anyway.
Anyway, Jungkook's jaw almost dropped to the ground, and he gulped with force.
He didn't know what to feel.
But of course, it didn't matter....they were exes after all.
"I'm going on a date." Jungkook stated with complete firmness.
Chaeyoung felt a pang of jealousy, but the intense feeling diminished before it fully erupted. "Okay." She shrugged her shoulders, totally feeling awkward by his presence.
Over 2 years since he had stepped foot into her room.
She wondered how his reaction was inside, knowing that she changed the whole place.
She could afford it, so why not??
It helped her move on...right?
"You're not jealous?"
"Is that the question you wanted to ask?" Chaeyoung avoided the question, honestly wanting to laugh.
Laugh at his pathetic attempt to even make her jealous...if that was his goal after all.
"Honestly, what the hell is wrong with you?" Jungkook's whole demeaner changed, feeling annoyed. He wasn't going to put up with Chaeyoung's sassy tone.
He hated it, always did.
"Nothing's wrong with me. The question is, why are you here???"
Jungkook didn't have an answer.
Did he want approval of the suit he had on, make sure Chaeyoung was okay with it?
Why did it matter?
It shouldn't.
"Fuck it." Jungkook walked out of her home without a word.
Chaeyoung was confused.
