Jack's P.O.V.

I pulled up in front of Alex's house the next morning in my beat up black Honda Civic, and waited for my boyfriend - I love being able to call him that - to come out.

I momentarily forgot to breath when I saw him emerge from his house, wearing a fitted black v-neck , skintight red jeans, and black converse, with his hair, as usual, perfectly styled. I looked down at my own white Glamour Kills t-shirt, black stonewashed skinny jeans, and red dunks, and wondered what the hell this gorgeous boy saw in me.

Alex sauntered down the path to my car, and gracefully climbed into the passenger’s seat. Immediately after closing the door, he leaned over and kissed my cheek.

"Hey, baby," he said, grinning at the stunned expression on my face.

As I tried to compose myself, I vaguely wondered what caused the brunette to be so cocky and confident, yet shy and reserved at times.

"I, uh, err, hi." I finally managed to spit out.

He just laughed quietly, and leaned over to fiddle with the dials on my car radio. After managing to find a station playing New Found Glory's Head On Collision, he looked over at me curiously.

"Well, Jacky, are you gonna drive or what?" he questioned.

"Oh! Yeah, I should probably do that..." I replied, before finally pulling away from his house.

"So, I was wondering, if, tonight, maybe, you'd like to go on a date with... me?" I asked, finally summoning up the courage to ask him out.

"In fact, I'd love to," Alex said, as I sighed with relief. He then basically squealed, stating, "I fucking love this part!" before turning up the radio.

"And it feels like, I'm at all-time low, slightly bruised and broken, from our head on collision. I've never seen this side of you, another tragic case of feeling bruised and broken, from our head on collision. I've never seen this side of you, another tragic case," he stopped singing abruptly, seemingly deep in thought.

I was amazed by the smaller boy's voice. He hit every note effortlessly, and perfectly. While I sounded like a dying walrus when I attempted to sing, he sounded closer to an angel. I was contemplating ways to force him to continue singing, when he spoke up again.

"You know, All Time Low would be a pretty great band name."

Alex's P.O.V.

After an eventful ride to school with Jack, and me having to refrain from spontaneously combusting from joy when he asked me out, the day quickly became monotonous and dull. Although Jack was in all of my morning classes, the teachers somehow thought it would be a good idea to give us assigned seats, and I wasn't able to talk to him again until fourth period.

Once we sunk into adjacent seats in English, I quickly opened to a fresh page in my notebook and scribbled a note.

So, what's the plan for tonight? I wrote.

I could barely make out his response, but finally decided that it read, It’s obviously a surprise. You'll find out when we get there.

I looked up to see the other boy smiling at me mischievously, and silently prayed that he had nothing too terrible planned.

After an English class full of silly, flirty notes, I followed Jack to the cafeteria. He stopped in front of a table where three boys were already seated, and the introductions began.
