Connor's POV:
I silently climb back into my room through the window, once my feet touch the floor of my room I look up to see dad staring directly at me.
"It's about time young man, look you're almost in college you can't keep running off like this"
"But Evan-"
"I don't care about Evan right now Connor, you need to prepare yourself for college, you're going to be living 10 hours away" Dad says while handing me a box.
"Now help me pack up your stuff, you're moving out in less than two weeks" Dad says while grabbing a box of his own and starting to put some of my magazines inside.
"Less than two weeks? When did this happen?" I reply.
"Well your mother didn't want to tell you until you were over the whole Evan thing so I just thought I'd break it to you now"
"WELL SHE HAD A GOOD REASON NOT TO TELL ME UNTIL I WAS OVER THE EVAN THING" I reply and start getting mad. "YOU JUST FUCKING RUINED MY DAY"
"Connor please I'm just trying to do what's best for you"
"WELL ITS NOT WORKING"
"Just, continue packing up please"
"No, you can, I'll finish the rest tomorrow" I say while dumping the box on my bed and heading into Zoe's room, I slam the door shut behind me. Zoe looks up at me and takes her headphones off.
"What's wrong?"
"Our parents that's what's wrong" I say while going to sit on her bed.
"Oh... college right"
I nod. "Yeah college, they can never shut up"
"Well that's normal for them" Zoe says while getting up and grabbing her phone.
"Would it make you feel better if I FaceTimed Evan for you?"
I smile. "Yes please" I say while grabbing her phone out of her hands and going to Evan's contact.
"CONNOR MURPHY GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW" I hear my mom yell from downstairs, I sigh and ignore her.
"Connor you should go down there before you get yourself into more trouble" Zoe says.
"I don't care let them get me in more trouble"
"Connor just go downstairs please, I don't want them to hurt you more than they're going to"
"Well I'm not coming to them, they're gonna have to come to me"
"CONNOR" I hear dad yell, I ignore it.
Soon Zoe's door opens and dad walks in, I look away from him.
"Give me your phone" He says, I look at him this time. I can feel my anger start to rise.
"WHAT DID I DO?"
"YOU'VE BEEN SNEAKING OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR THE LAST MONTH TO SEE EVAN"
"ONLY BECAUSE YOU GUYS WONT LET ME SEE HIM AS MUCH AS I WANT TO AND IM GOING TO BE AT LEAST EIGHT HUNDRED MILES AWAY FEOM HIM IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS" I reply.
"Connor come downstairs now" Dad says, I just give up and decide to follow him downstairs.
"Oh good you got him" Mom says and puts out her hand in front of me.
"Phone please Connor"
"No I'm not giving you my phone" I say and try to run back upstairs but dad grabs me and pulls me back towards mom.
"Connor this is the only way you'll learn" Dad says while slipping my phone out of my back pocket and handing it to mom, I sigh.
"Now Connor you have to start preparing for college, I know you want to see Evan but you also need to be thinking about college and not wasting all your time with him" Mom says.
"Fine but you must promise me I'll be able to see Evan before I leave" I reply.
"You'll be able to see him the day you leave" Mom replies.
"WHAT? NO I HAVE TO SEE HIM MORE OFTEN"
"Connor you need to learn not to sneak out as much" Mom says.
"Isn't taking my phone away enough?" I reply and she just shakes her head, I grown and run upstairs to my room and slam the door shut behind me.
Fuck you mom and dad, fuck you.
