1 week later...
Connor's POV:
I'm back at home recovering now. Everything seems to be going ok with the healing process, I can walk now so that's a step in the right direction. As for Evan and I, I wouldn't say we're back together but I wouldn't say we're still fighting either. I'd say we're on the "it's complicated" level of things. I want to get back with Evan don't get me wrong but it's just, we need a break from one another.
I can feel my phone vibrate on my chest, I pick it up. It's a text from Jared.
Jared: Evan's a dick
Connor: he's not a dick he's just complicated right now
Jared: so you mean a dick?
Connor: that's not what I said
Jared: you hate him don't you?
Connor: I don't
Jared: look Connor I know you do
Connor: you don't know anything Jared
Jared: I know you more than you think
Connor: whatever I don't hate him
Jared: suit yourself
Jared: when are you going back to college
Connor: the doctor said I can't go anywhere for the next 2 weeks
Jared: anywhere as in not leaving your bed or anywhere as in not leaving the town?
Connor: I have to stay in bed for the next two days and I can't go very far outside the house the rest of the time
Jared: that's bullshit
Connor: they wanna make sure I heal well
Jared: so they said you can't move but there's no rules against me are there?
Connor: Jared I swear to god if you come over here and do some weird shit to me
Jared: too late
Connor: fuck you
Connor: see this is why I hate you sometimes
Jared: well I'm used to it so
Connor: is this just a thing you do, annoy everyone so they hate you?
Jared: Yep
Connor: well at least you're good at something
Jared: shut up
