"This is such a bad idea, you're being stupid, turn the fucking car around" I whispered to myself as I got closer to the noise. All of a sudden, my outfit began to feel uncomfortable, my confidence began to drop as I pulled up outside of the house.
"No, you have to do this" I whispered, looking down to my hands. I wiped them on my jeans, breathing deeply before looking towards the house.
I took a deep breath and nodded, looking towards the driveway; clear.
"Car, I apologize" I whispered, hoping it wouldn't get destroyed by the massive hoard of drunk teens. A devilish smirk grew on my face as my instincts took over, my gaze falling upon the infamous snapback.
I pulled into the driveway, making sure to make a spectacle of it. I revved the engine of my dad's prize possession, the car I practically used to live in. The shine of it's silver exterior illuminated off of the hundreds of lights in the front of the house.
I looked out the tinted windows, seeing everyone had stopped to look. Most had fists over their mouths as 'ooohs' left their drunken lips. The only person without an awed look to his face was the one and only. His face turned cold, face run of color.
I knew he remembered, and I knew he regretted inviting me.
I smirked as I got out of the car, a roar of applause fixed on me as I swung my leather jacket on, the keys of my Maserati twirling along my pointer finger as I walked towards the house. I slid the keys into my front pocket making sure to graze his chest as I walked by.
"You wanted me here" I whispered as he took in my outfit, "here I am"
I watched his eyes fix on me, a different kind of lust filling them. He went up to grab me, yet I had already walked by, the girl he was previously talking to had scoffed and followed me inside, walking past me and into the back of the house.
"I definitely didn't miss this" I whispered, the essence of a high school party hitting me full blast. Sweaty bodies dancing and grinding against each other as doors were slammed by eager teens waiting to tear the others clothes off. The smell of alcohol washed over me, causing my nose to scrunch as the air became thinner, only allowing me to smell the cloud of vape that danced around the ceiling.
"You came?!" a sobered voice spoke.
"Hi, Lacey" I said, turning towards her. She had a solo cup in her hand and a confused look on her face as she grabbed onto my arm.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" she scolded after pulling me outside.
"Phase one" I nodded, "also I want to see how parties have held up without me"
"We haven't had anyone break your record on Jello shots..." She folded her arms, shaking her head, "just don't be stupid"
"Trust" I nodded, holding out my pinky.
"Trust" she smiled, attaching hers to mine.
"So what's the plan?" she asked, tipping the cup back.
I felt hands on my waist before I could respond and the smile fade from her face. She rolled her eyes, "I need another drink" she muttered as she walked away.
