It wasn't unusual for Grayson to be up and ready to start the day by 8 am, but it was strange for him to be out of bed at  5 am. You hadn't even noticed his absence from the bed until you flung your arm over to his side, expecting to meet a warm chest, instead it collided with a cold sheet. You looked around thinking he'd gone to the bathroom and went back to sleep.

Sometime later you were awakened by the feeling of soft, warm lips peppering kisses all over your face and head. You smiled, smelling his all too familiar scent. You peered through your lashes seeing he was still in his pajamas, and the room was still dark meaning it was still way too early. "Gray, why are you awake right now?" You ask, propping yourself up on your elbows and pecking his lips sweetly. His eyes were wide open meaning he was fully awake and ready to begin the rest of his day and by the looks of his expression, he was starting by getting you up.

"I have a surprise for you, but you have to put on a blindfold and no questions, okay?" He asks, holding up a long blue cloth. You hesitated but let him tie it over your eyes. He helped you to stand and walked you over so you could put on your fuzzy slippers since the morning floor would be cold on your feet. Both of his arms were securely wrapped onto your waste, making sure you didn't fall. He walked you through the kitchen which smelt like he had made himself breakfast, then around the corner to the dining room and out the door to the backyard.

"Grayson, where are you taking me?" You ask, laughing and holding onto his wrists for balance. He shooshed you and reminded you that you couldn't as questions. He walked you a few more feet and stopped, then raised you up by your waist, sitting you back down in one of the backyard chairs. The smell of breakfast came back, filling your senses. He untied the bandana around your eyes, revealing a small breakfast set up. It consisted of banana pancakes (of course), scrambled eggs, fruit and a cup of coffee. "Grayson, this is so sweet." You say, turning to look at him in the dark. The only light was the small candle placed in the center of the table. But even with the shadows hitting his face you could see his toothy smile.

He took the seat across from you and looked at you with all the love in the world. "I know it's super early in the morning and you'd much rather be snuggled into the bed sheets than outside, but after last night I wanted to make it up to you. I couldn't think of where we could go or what we could do without having Ethan or strangers around. So this morning I woke up at 4 to go to the bathroom and this came to mind. I am so sorry about that stupid fight last night. I just want you to know that I love you so much and I never want to lose you." He says, playing with your hands and kissing your fingertips like he always did. You had completely forgotten about the fight.

"Gray, the fight was in the past. I like to live in the present and enjoy the moments it offers me, and it's even better when I get to spend them with my future. This setup is gorgeous and I love it so much, but anywhere with you is magical. Even when Ethan is yelling and running around like a mad man. If you're there I'm happy." You reply, smiling toward him.

With his hand that wasn't holding yours, he raised his coffee, "Here's to us." He says, proposing cheers. You laughed and clinked your mug against his.

     "To us."

You dug into your meal, savoring every single bite. Ethan exaggerated Grayson cooking abilities. He was actually a really good cook, his pancakes being your favorite. "Grayson, you did an incredible job. These pancakes are amazing and these eggs are so fluffy. It's delicious." You compliment between bites.

"You think so? According to my brother, everything I cook tastes like dirt." He says, forking a few pieces of fruit into his mouth.

"Ethan is also one of the most dramatic people on the planet. You shouldn't listen to him. There is nothing wrong with your cooking. I think it's amazing." You say. Even through the dim lighting, you could see his cheeks turn a deep crimson.

"Well thank you for thinking so."

You continued eating your food and sipping at your coffee that was slowly turning cold. Grayson randomly got up and went in the house, confusing you. You didn't budge though, you just continued enjoying your morning. He came back out a while later with a blanket and laid it on the grass, right over the hill. You cocked a brow as he motioned you over. You took both your coffees and handed his to him before sitting beside him on the soft fabric.

"What are we doing?" You ask, laying your head on his shoulder. His arm was wrapped around your waist and his head was layed on your own.

"Just wait for it." He whispers, starring out over the houses scattered beneath you. You watched and cracked a smile as the smallest amount of light came peering over. You didn't say anything and watched as it sowly poured its rays over the rooftops. You glanced over at Grayson whos features were now outlined by the golden light peering onto his tanned skin. He looked down at you and knocked a few strands of hair out of your face, your bed head still everywhere. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" He asks, once you returned your attention back to the sky. You nodded, drinking what was left in your purple mug. "This is the closest equivelent of what I see every time I look at you. It's breathtaking and after you see it for the first time, you just can't get enough and you want to just see it over and over. That's how I feel about you. From the very moment I met you I knew that it couldn't just be a one time moment. I wanted to be with you every single moment, getting to feel your warmth on my skin, getting to see the glow of your beauty and just having the feeling of happiness awlways around me. Most people relate the sun to pure joy, but for me pure joy is you. I love you so much." He says, taking your off guard. Grayson was always so sweet to you, but this...this had you in tears. You probably looked like a mess, but he just kept his eyes on you as if he'd never seen such a stunning sight.

"Grayson Bailey Dolan you are such a wonderous human. Sometimes I have to pinch myself when you're around just because of how lucky I am to have you. You're a dream come true. Before I met you, I honestly had no idea where I was going with life. When we met and you said hi to me, I was instantly putty in your hands. You had the chance to break me into a million tiny pieces, but you didn't I don't know what makes me so special in your eyes, but I'm so glad I am. Because without you, there is no me. As cheesy as that sounds. I love you so damn much." You say, leaning forward to kiss him slowly, yet full of passion. This moment was just perfect.

"I hope I'm not ruining the moment, but can I sit with you guys? I can't sleep." Ethans gruff voice says froma few feet behind you. Usually, you'd have a snarky comment, but right now you were on cloud nine. You were watching the sun set with the love of your life. You opened your free arm, ushering him over to sit. He quickly accepted the gesture before you changed your mind and sat in the empy spot to your right. You wrapped your arm around his shoulder and sighed in complete contentment.

A year ago you wouldn't have pictured yourself sitting between your life partner and your best friend, sitting on a hill at 7am watching the sun rise high into the sky above. But here you were, enjoying every last second of it.

I meant for this one to be short when I first came up with the idea. But I wasn't planning on adding Ethan, but I feel like he tied it all together.
