Standing in front of the mirror you lifted your baggy sweatshirt up enough to stare at the small bump forming. You were three months pregnant and still hadn't told Ethan he was going to be a father. Not because you were scared he'd leave, but because you hadn't found a good enough way to tell him yet. He had noticed that you were a bit bigger than usual but you managed to convince him that it was because you were bloated from your period. You wore baggy sweaters in hopes that it would disguise the noticeable lump that was forming. You wanted nothing more than to tell him, knowing he'd be happy. You'd talked about the idea of children before, but never really said when you wanted them. The only person who knew was your Mother, only because you needed to get the information out to someone. She was over the moon knowing she'd have her first grandchild in a short 6 months.
You were so lost in thought that you hadn't even seen Grayson walk in, looking for Ethan. The glass of water in his hand shattered onto the hardwood flooring as he stared at you with wide eyes. You jerked the sweater down and looked back at him with the same expression. "You're- you're pregnant?" He asks, a little bit louder than you would have liked. You were quick to quiet him down and nodded, a small smile forming, it had been a chore not to tell Grayson. "And you guys didn't tell me? How far along are you?" He asks, sounding hurt that the secret was kept from him. "Grayson, the only people that know are you and my Mom and I'm three months along." You explain quietly, keeping an out for your gorgeous boyfriend who was roaming somewhere in the house. "You haven't told him? Y/N he's going to want to know about his kid." Grayson reminds, still shocked that you were carrying his brother's child inside of you. "And I will. I just need to find the perfect way to tell him. So now that you know, you can help me. But please keep this between us." You beg, clamping your hands together in a begging manner. He sighed, hating to keep things- especially things this important from his twin brother. "Fine...so when did you like, you know- make it?" He asks awkwardly. "March." You say, staring at the wall behind him. "So that means the baby will be born in...?" He asks, counting the months in his head. "December. Like you and E." You say, already have thought about it. The smile on his face was priceless.
You were about to ask him for ideas on how to break the news to Ethan when the man himself came walking into the room. "What the hell happened in here?" He asks, staring at the broken glass that sprinkled the floor. "I dropped it and Gray came to make sure I was okay." You lie, saving Grayson from the teasing he would have gotten by fessing up and making up a lie about how he had tripped. He couldn't have said, 'Oh I dropped it when I walked into the room and saw your girlfriend staring at her pregnant belly. By the way, congratulations, you're a father!'. "Be more careful baby." Ethan coos, jogging down the hall to get a towel and the broom. Once the mess was cleaned up you followed the boys into the kitchen, seeing that you had no food. "Who's turn was it to shop for groceries this week?" You ask, looking at your little chore chart Grayson had made and hung on the fridge. "Babe looks like it's you." You hum, tapping the calendar where his name was written in smudged blue pen. "Can you come with me at least?" He whines, placing his large hands on your waist, making you stiffen up in fear that he'd notice your bump before you could tell him. He didn't seem to notice as he continued to rub circles into your hips with a pouty lip. "I can write out a list for you, but I have chores to do today as well sweetheart." You say grabbing the notepad from the counter and scribbling down a few things you needed around the house. He sighed dramatically and kissed you goodbye then left for the store.
"You don't have any chores for today." Grayson states, staring blankly at the chart. "I know. But we need to come up with an idea." You say, pouring yourself a glass of juice. "Smart girl." He says, hoisting himself onto the counter, ready to plan. "I was thinking you surprise him with a gift on Fathers day since it's only like two days from now." He says looking at the calendar again. He was right, it was a pretty good idea, seeing as Ethan wouldn't be expecting it and didn't know what days held a holiday unless you told him. "That's perfect! Come on, we're going shopping!" You say, grabbing your wallet and pulling him out of the house. You had sent Ethan with a pretty long list and he had no idea where anything was in the store without getting help so you knew he'd be out for a while, giving you both enough time to get what you needed.
