LUNA
'Hi,' I say to the small camera, that I hopefully placed on the closet at the right height. I'm almost ready for my run. 'This is going to be me first YouTube video. And it's going to be my workout routine between races.' I throw all my hair in front of my face, bending over a little, to tie my messy hair in a ponytail. 'I got back home last night from Baku. It's now around 9 o'clock and I'm going for a run with Charlie. There were some questions on my social media on my workout routine so here it is.' I take my Puma top from the couch and put it on. 'Mostly I workout everyday. I at least try to go for a run every morning or evening. My trainer comes one, two or three times a week depends.' The bell rings. 'That must be Charlie, let's go.' I struggle getting the chest thing on where I can attach the camera to. 'Ok now let's go.' I attach the camera. I say to Charles I'm coming through the intercom, because he's outside. Take the stairs down. 'I'm filming.' Charles looks down at the camera. 'I can see.' He waves.'No, no ice cream.' I'm craving some ice cream. And they are so good here. 'Yeah come on Charlie.' I push him towards the building. I know he wants too.
'Why are you filming?' Charles his cheeks are red, just like mine. It's hot. He licks his ice. 'My first YouTube video.' He nods. 'You look stupid with that thing on.' I smile. I know I do. 'Thanks.'We stop, I slip my hand in the back pocket of my colorful shorts. 'How was your youth?' The woman asks me. I'm doing an interview for on YouTube, not my channel though. 'My youth was good. I grew up in Genoa, Italy, where I was born. But my family is originally from Holland. Grew up with fellow Dutch friends, I definitely kept my Dutch roots. My mom passed away when I was one day old.' 'I'm sorry.' I smile. 'But my dad was a great mom and dad, we had all these other amazing people around us. When I was 13 my dad fell in love with new woman. Lola, my sister, and I were stubborn teens and decided not to like her. It must've been really hard for my father. We were that stubborn that Lola and I moved to Holland, to our grandparents. We did went back every summer to visit. We've lived in Holland for 8 years and then moved back at 21.' 'Why didn't you went back sooner?' 'Because my grandpa helped my with karting, until I was 17. In GP3 I drove for a ART Grand Prix, a French team, so I moved to France for a year. Then back to my grandparents because I was driving for Amersfoort racing 2 years in formula 3.' The brunette nods. 'How did you combined school with karting?' I softly smile. 'In Holland you go to high school, I would call it, when your around 13. When I moved there I was 14 and started karting. Half year through school I starting traveling to compete. The school was pretty free in it, luckily. I didn't really went to school on Fridays because me and my opa left for the race the day before; if the race was on the other side of the country or some where else. So Friday's didn't really worked out. But I had my homework done most of the times, my grades were good. Only struggled the second year, but that was the year most people did surprisingly. But I graduated with good grades. My grandparents were pushing me on school, I needed to get good grades and a higher degree than high school. So after high school I did a year of HAVO, a certain degree.' 'Only one year?' I nod. 'I was already in formula 4 that year so I already wanted to do it in one year. When I found out I was going to compete in GP3, I wasn't planning on doing another year.'
'What type of driver are you?' Totally different than that I am in person. 'I'd say a sneaky one, or at least as sneaky you can be in a car. Very competitive. Um... fierce. I love battles. Especially the close ones, almost a little breaking the rules, maybe some touching. I just love battles, that's what making racing fun.' Was that a good thing to say? About touching. 'Are you a rule breaker in real life?' I shake my head smiling. 'I think in this sport you need to be playing close to the edge, because other wise you won't make it. Away from the sport I'm a total different person.' 'So what are you like?' I look away at the sea for a second. 'I am an introvert. Quite, I never broke rules in school, I knew I had to try my best so they would still allowed me to stay away on Friday's. I'm very pulled back at the beginning if I don't know a person, you've probably noticed a little. I'm a good listener, even when it doesn't look like I'm listening, I'm very observing. I like stalking, fans, drivers or other people. Just to figure out what they've said about certain thing or how they feel about this or that.' I wouldn't call it homework on the driver. Because I don't search how they drive or anything in that way. 'Have you looked me up?' I nod, smiling. 'I did. Not really deep or anything just so I can start a conversation with you. Because I'm not good at starting conversations, I never know what's the right question to ask. I don't hope I look like a freak now.'

When I open the door for Daniel, he scans me. Making me insecure. Am I not underdressed? I'm wearing a black top, tugged into my blue boyfriend jeans, white Nike's and striped socks. Is it a date outfit? 'You look beautiful.' I smile. He looks handsome himself. Black shorts, showing a little of his thigh tattoo, a colorful shirt, sneakers and not to forgot his colorful socks. Nothing too special himself. 'You look fine yourself.' I close my front door behind me, leaving my apartment. 'So what are we doing?' I don't know yet, I know where doing diner. 'Again not too fancy diner, maybe a walk around the pier and then I have a surprise at my place.' I smile. I can't wait for the surprise, knowing I'm gonna try to get it out of him. I'm excited.
'Why did you choose number 13?' Because it's my favorite. 'My lucky number really. It's also the age kinda I knew I wanted to become a formula 1 driver, I was 14 but that doesn't matter.' Daniel chuckles. 'I found my love for racing. It's the house number back home. Started formula 4 in 2013. More reasons I don't have.' I watch the people passing us as we're walking. The big boats amaze me. 'I actually hate uneven numbers.' Daniel chuckles. It's true. 'You choose a great number then.' I nod. 'I know.' The number is an unlucky number in the sport but I like it.
DANIEL
Her tongue sticks out a little when she's reading the piece of paper. Her high cheekbones are soft pink colored. She looks up at me with her big shaped eyes as the tip of he tongue slips back in her mouth. Her eyes are so fascinating, the brown spot that doesn't belong there, but also does. 'You're starring,' she says while still looking the paper. Shit. I look away, knowing she's smiling. But I can't help it, she's so beautiful. Her face filled with moles. Even a couple on her full pink lips, not that I can see them from across the table, but I noticed them before. 'You like it?' I question looking at the board game, she just laid out on the table. 'Yeah.' She smiles. 'You're a board game person?' She nods. 'I like old school. Just getting rid of the phone for an hour. How much I love and attached I am to that thing, I try to put it away once a day and do something creative or something else; like this.' I really see her doing it. And she's creative. She has some paintings hanging in her house made by herself. It looks nice. 'If you have the time, make a painting for me will ya?' She nods smiling. 'I will.''You hang allot with Charles?' She nods smiling. 'Charlie is my best buddy. We had that instant click. He's my little brother.' She talks about him with pride. 'You call him Charlie?' She's confusing me a little. His name is already confusing, even though it's more his last name that confuses every one. 'Yeah I don't know how it came to that really, he calls me Lune. But it all happened not intentionally.' 'How long have you've known each other?' They are friends so I don't think I have to compete with him, only on track, and not even that much either. 'Since 2014, so 5 years, milestone.' She counted the years on her fingers, trying to hide it a little. So cute. How many times did I called her cute? Not too many. She's so cute.
Slowly I walk over to Luna who's standing on the balcony, watching into the darkness of the sea with the yacht in front of it. I wrap my arm around her, resting my hand on her stomach. My head buried in her neck, kissing her. She stops my hand when I'm close to her boob. I remove my head as she turns around. Looking at her, light from my apartment lights up her perfect shaped face, making her cheekbones look even more sharper. 'It's our first date.' Her hands holding on to the railing behind her. She bites her lip. I can tell that isn't the only thing. She isn't a virgin anymore right? It could be I don't know, I don't know if she ever had a boyfriend before. 'You're right.' I slip my right hand in the back pocket of her jeans. 'I can kiss you right?' I softly smile. She bites her lower lip once again before smiling. 'I guess so.' She leans in herself, her hand on my cheek, kissing me.
