LUNA
'Luna are you OK?' I hear. I open my eyes in shock. I passed out. Fuck. That was crazy. My head feels like it's going to explode any second now, but further I don't feel anything. But I'm sure that's all the adrenaline still rushing through my blood. 'Luna you there?' I hear through the radio. I press the radio button.
'Yeah. Did it looked spectacular?' It seemed like it from my point of view, the bits I saw. Only now I notice I'm upside down. A marshals head popping up on my right. On the other side of the radio I hear some chuckles.
'How are you?' Thank god I'm still alive. Thank you mama for watching over me. It could've had a different outcome.
'I'm OK. But I'd love to be the right way around again, my head is starting to hurt.'
'Yeah, they are going to flip the car any second now,' Pierre warns me.
'Alright.' Not much later my car is turned. A marshal puts up his dump, questioning if I'm alright. I raise my thumb. I get myself loose from all the things I'm attached too.
'You're good?' Daniel and the doctor help me get out of the car by supporting my arms as I step over the heavily damaged halo. He didn't finished another race.
'I mean could be better.' When I'm steady on the ground I feel dizzy. Holding on to both arms I wait until it goes away.
'We need to get you to the medical room.' I nod.
'Just a second.' I need to let it sink in little. I take of my helmet, glad we have that. I hug Daniel. 'Fucking hell.' Only now it really hits me. I got into a bad crash.
'You're save,' he says, his hand moving over my back. Not much later I let go. I wanna kiss him so bad, but I can't.
'What even happened?' I ask myself out loud as I look around. My car looks bad, I can't even start explaining. The front wing shattered in thousand pieces around the track, the tires are hanging loose, other parts are loose and so on. It's not as bad as Sophia her crash from last year, not at all. But it's a bad one too. I'm happy I'm able to get out of the car this easy. My arm is starting to hurt.
'Stroll did something, took you with him and then took me too. More I don't know.' The red flag is being waved, they stopped the race.
'Stroll his payback from qualifying,' I joke. Daniel shakes his head smiling.

Softly I move over my painful lower arm. I think it's broken. I see Lola running my way. Running around the press people and throws her arms around me. 'You scared the living shit out of me.' Her tight arms around my painful body isn't helping much but I need her. 'You were killing me when you weren't reacting, I thought you died. And your medical thing broke. You can't do that to me Guusje, I don't know what to do without you.' I push her back.
'I'm here, I'm alive, I'm not going anywhere.' She nods.
'I don't like your job.' I giggle. She always says it when I'm involved in an accident. This is the biggest crash I've ever been involved in. But I totally get her. 'Now get your ass checked.'

The doctor is pushing his fingers in my stomach, it hurts as a mother fucker, but he needs to check if my organs are still at place. He's gonna leave me with more bruises that I already have. 'They're good.' I sit back down in the chair what hurts too because of my bruised ribs. 'What do you remember?' Softly I shake my head.
'Not much. I remember getting launched up into the air, twirling and then it got black. I looked into my mirrors but I couldn't see anything.' I tell as he writes it all down.
'You don't remember that the car stopped twirling?' I shake my head. 'Okay thank you. Get changed and then go to the hospital for you arm okay?' I get up.
'Thank you.' I give him a hand with the wrong hand.
'Don't forget take some rest, not too much just enough.' I smile. Rest, I already hate it. It's gonna be hard telling what my boundaries are, I always push a little over the limit, that's just me. But I'm gonna try and I know I need to slow it down for my own sake. A light concussion, bruised ribs and a big change my arm is broken, how amazing!
'I can train my legs once I feel a bit better right?' George rest his hand on my shoulder.
'We'll see about that,' he chuckles. When we get outside the light hurts my eyes. 'Here take my glasses.' George hands me his sunglasses. 'How is your nausea?' I nod.
'It's a bit better but my stomach hurts from him pushing so hard.' A camera appears, following us.
'Just take some pain killers.' I nod. I move my left hand over my ribs it doesn't hurt that much, there is just pressure on my chest. The race started again a little while back. They are still going, I hear the beautiful sound of the engines. 'You'll be fit in no time I promise, don't worry.' I nod as we enter the energy station.

I cross the pit lane. 'How are you?' I nod.
'I'm good, I need to pay a visit to the hospital for my arm.' I'm scared to visit the hospital. I don't know the language. Going to the hospital in a country I'm pretty much unknown in is already a thought that creeps me out. I'm just a pussy in that way.
'What did the doctor say?' Pierre asks.
'Bruised ribs, light concussion and a big change my arm is broken. But I'll be back in Belgium ready to kick some asses.' He smiles.
'Just take it slow, I'll come visit you tonight.' I nod. I pet him on his back. 'Good luck.'
'Thanks.' I turn around. No car is coming. I walk back to the pit box. Lola is on the phone.
'Here she is.' Lola hands me her phone. 'Dad,' she articulates.
'Hi dad.'
'You scared us baby.' I smile as I leave the garage.
'I know, but I'm good.'
'I wanna hug you so tight right now.' That isn't going to be a smart idea.
'I'll be back home next week, but don't hug me that tight because my ribs are bruised.'
