Spring.

Grass and flowers bloomed from the melted snow, the sun was out making the days longer and the evenings shorter.

And still there was no signs of Juliet, no signs of Elizabeth and no sightings of Albert.

Victor stared at his wall of missing persons, his hands on his hips as he studied their photos. On the sides of his board, he had newspaper clippings.

Why did the news barely cover them? The articles were so tiny they appeared to be one of those small 'Jobs For Hire' signs.

His team told him to give it up, to go back to his previous department in another state, it was useless here, the girls probably ran off and the guy probably did the same with a gay lover.

But it just didn't seem right, it didn't match up.

Where was the other priest? And what role did he have to play?

So far he found no clues or witnesses that could lead him to Father Beckford.

Anne and Zach had provided him with all the information they could. Victor had even met with the school's priest who was absent during the time Father Beckford preformed the confessions.

And he had nothing but good things to say about him and Elizabeth.

"Elizabeth was fine when I returned. I held a few masses and she had the same smile, the same laugh...she was a bright and happy girl. The only confessions she would make with me were nothing out of the ordinary for a teenager, apologizing for swearing or thinking ill thoughts but nothing that could help you with your investigation I'm afraid," Victor remembered the priests words clearly.

He sunk back into his chair and laid back, thinking and praying that something would turn up, that the light bulb in his head would finally turn on somehow....somewhere....they had to be somewhere.

James wrapped up Elizabeth's legs around his waist early Sunday morning as they laid in bed. Before going to mass, he started his day waking up his young wife by entering her while she slept.

The movements of his hips, like slow motion waves, rocked her till she woke. But her eyes were bloodshot.

James had been relentless, constantly waking her up whenever he felt the need to relieve himself. This had gone on since they had the wedding.

Elizabeth could only sleep when James was not home.

Otherwise, she was subject to his carnal demands which were always urgent and frequent. Sometimes she would wake up 4 or 5 times a night to him.

She was sore and hurt but had no choice but to obey him.

As the days grew warmer, little by little he allowed her small privileges.

And these privileges were something she did not want to be taken away from her no matter what, even if it meant being sore forever.

Not only was she allowed outside anytime she wanted, granted he was there to watch her, but he had even given her charge to plant a rose bush in the backyard. She tended to it and put all her time and energy into it.

James had also allowed her to eat foods that he previously forbade her to eat. He had become a little lenient on her restricted diet, since he was trying to conceive a child, he wanted her to be strong and fit.

The last privileged he allowed her was a  small TV. There was no cable but he bought her a few DVD's, although he restricted which movies he deemed appropriate, it at least helped the hours go by when it was too cold or rainy to be outside.
