Endor Strategy

Days went by before they got their next assignment. Within that time span, Sabine had repainted the stardestroyer they had captured and they collectively changed its name from the Admonitor to the Jarrus, in honor of Kanan. Their next assignment took them to the Sullust system to meet up with the rest of the Rebel fleet. The second they emerged from hyperspace, they were awestruck by the amount of ships present. The Jarrus fell in line with the fleet and received the transmission from Home One from General Han Solo.

"General Solo," Ezra said, "How may we be of service?"

"I'd like some of your Mobians to join me on my strike team for an upcoming assault," Han said, "preferably those that are stealthy."

Espio, Shadow, Vector, Omega, and Knuckles all stepped forward accepting the mission.

"I guess these are your volunteers," Sabine said, "What exactly is this assault?"

"Mothma, Ackbar, and Madine will be briefing everyone soon. Make sure those five are ready within the next few hours."

Ten minutes afterward, they received another transmission from Home One. This time, from senator Mon Mothma.

"The Emperor's made a critical error," she began, "and the time for our attack has come. The data brought to us by the Bothan spies indicates that the Death Star is nearing completion. We also know the weapon systems on this new Death Star are not yet operational. But most important of all... We have learned that the Emperor himself is overseeing the final stages on the construction of this new battlestation."

Everyone on the bridge of the Jarrus shared a small gasp at that statement. Now they knew the reason the entire Alliance fleet was here: to try to kill the Emperor and win the war.

"Many Bothans died to bring us this information. Admiral Ackbar, please."

The senator disappeared from the hologram of the celestial body and battlestation and a Mon Calamari appeared.

"You can see here," he started, "the Death Star orbiting the forest moon of Endor. Although the weapon systems on this Death Star are not yet operational, the Death Star does have a strong defense mechanism. It is protected by an energy shield generated from the nearby forest moon of Endor."

A yellow energy field surrounded the red station. They quickly pieced together what the five were going to be helping take down.

"The shield must be deactivated," he continued, "if any attack is to be attempted."

The moon disappeared and was replaced by the Death Star.

"Once the shield is down, our cruisers will create a perimeter. While the fighters fly into the superstructure and attempt to knock out the main reactor."

In a flash of white, the Death Star "exploded". The crew immediately thought the same thing: this is far too simple; too easy.

"General Calrissian has volunteered to lead the fighter attack. General Madine."

A man appeared in the hologram.

"We have stolen a small imperial shuttle," he said, "disguised as a cargo ship a strike team will land on the moon and deactivate the shield generator."

"We'd best get to Home One, then." Shadow said.

Several minutes later the imperial shuttle, Tyderium, left Home One and launched into hyperspace. Now it was just a matter of waiting until the fleet would go attack the Death Star.

There's a chance I botched up the speech done by Mon Mothma, Ackbar, or Madine, but I was going off memory (mostly cuz I'm too lazy to check what it actually is on YouTube).
