Friday nights were the best, of course they were, they were Friday nights after all. But the Friday nights after you met Peter in 8th grade were the best. Every Friday you both would watch a bunch of movies to watch, and you got to choose the movies every other week. Last week was Peter's turn, where you both watched Star Trek, and the week before was your choice, Star Wars, meaning this week was your choice again.
Looking through the collection of movies, you decided internally that you were sick of Sci-fi, and that it was time to watch something new. Browsing through, so see bright colors that catch your eye, Disney movies, but that would be a really long marathon, so you definitely have to narrow it down. Choosing Disney Princesses, you hide your choice as it starts to play. As it starts to play, you look over at Peter, ready to see his reaction when he realizes the choice, you were ready to annoy him with these movies as payback for Peter annoying you all week about Homecoming.
Grabbing the popcorn, you sat next to Peter, ready for your favorite Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast (Belle was your favorite as you would also just love to just sit and read all day), and it was perfect timing. Peter groaned just as the Disney logo showed on screen, castle and on, he looked at you with a grumpy face that looked very fake, "so it's Disney today?" he asked, hoping it wasn't must worse. With a smirk on your face, you turned to face him "Well not exactly, you'll see", Peter threw his hands in the air, shaking his head, asking himself why he even tries to deal with you. Still, he leans over to grab some popcorn as you watch the first movie.
By the time you guys get to your favorite song, be our guest!, you started feeling guilty that Peter really didn't like the movie. You looked at Peter in the dark, only the TV screen lighting the faces, so he couldn't see as you studied him, his eyes shining with amusement, thankfully, and he looked so nice and comfortable, but the best, and funniest part was that Peter was mouthing along to the song perfectly. How is he so cute and happy?? It's like seeing a puppy, but human.
But in all honesty, you were curious. Curious if Peter secretly love Disney Princesses, in which case hell yeah! Or if he just knew that one song, cause that song is hella catchy. So when choosing the next movie in this long lineup, you chose Snow White, as it's an old movie so this will help determine how invested Peter is in Disney.
The answer? Very. You chose a random song, and by random you mean Whistle While You Work. And boy oh boy, of course Peter Parker of all people knew it, there was just something special about seeing a 16 year old boy mouthing along to the song, and if you listened very carefully you could hear him sing it, and you knew what you were doing for the rest of the night.
By the time Aladdin was playing, you were getting your entertainment for the night from Peter, not the movie, and this Friday night was officially going down in the history of Peter and Y/N's Friday Night. You moved closer to Peter, under the pretense of you would be closer to the popcorn, which was obviously more important, just so you could hear him sing along to A Whole New World.
After like 300 more movies, like how does Disney make so many of them??, you both were wiped out, and Peter still didn't know you saw him singing. Right before you both went to bed, this happened so often, you both had stuff in the other person's house, you told Peter, "I can't believe you memorized all those Disney songs" and went to sleep satisfied after seeing Peter reaction.
