Today was the day, the day you would find out who got the stark internship. It was a special one, as it was a partnership between Midtown High and Stark Industries, and of course you applied for it, because if you got it you would join Peter at his internship. Maybe then you guys could actually spend time together again.
As you enter the doors, you saw a big crowd waiting by the announcement board, the internship was a pretty big one, with most of the school applying, this was a school of science nerds anyways, and the paper was supposed to be up any minute. You looked around for Peter, ready to talk to him to try and get rid of the nervous energy you were getting. But of course, Peter was no where to be found.

Walking around, trying to find something to do for the next couple minutes, you hear a voice that makes you turn around until you hear "Y/N!" Groaning, you turn around to see Flash, or should you say Eugene, to see him probably about to brag about something in your face. Times like these, you actually felt bad for him, because if annoying Peter and you was his best pastime, that guy must have a poor, unsatisfying life.

"What?" you said, ready to turn back and wait the time out with earbuds. "
Did you apply to the Stark internship?" He started, "Well you wasted time, as I'm going to get it, it's a guarantee, since I'm the smartest kid in school" he finished, looking really proud and smug.

"Well," you started, only to be cut off the screams and the rush of more people running to the board. You ignored Flash and ran off to join them, wiggling through the crowd.
After what seemed like entering of a very painful process of shoving though the crowd, you had finally reached a place where you could see it. Underneath the words Stark Internship, you saw in big bold letter Y/N.

"What!!!" You turned around to see Flash screaming basically into your ear, shocked and furious.

You smirked at him and told him "You were saying?" Flash looked at you, and basically growled at you before walking away.

Now, the adrenaline and the excitement was fading away as people left the hall, some congratulating you and some, well most, glaring at you. Right now though, all you wanted was to tell Peter. From some strange reason, he still wasn't at school, which was unfortunate, cause you really wanted to celebrate. Celebrate the internship, and getting to spend more time together finally. But since he wasn't here, you did the next best thing, call him.

You called him, and he didn't answer, so you tried again, and again. After around ten attempts, you stopped, deciding that if you didn't see him in any of your shared classes, that you would try calling during break or lunch. So period after period, no Peter or anyone who seemed to know where he was, so when lunch came, you decided to call for the entirety. Again no answer, at this point you didn't care about the spam, since you were WAY past that point by now, and just kept calling and leaving voicemails and texting.
By the time it was dinner time, you still had no reply from Peter, and was forced to stop calling, as you had a lot of homework you had to do, and you had to focus. Of course that didn't mean you couldn't have your phone next to you, with the ringer on and at the highest level, just in case he called back. Cause thats totally what you did, because being honest, you wee DEFINITELY not the most patient person ever.

So when Peter finally did call back, at like 3 am (what was he doing?? Spiderman duh), you screamed in the phone forgetting that your parents were awake, "Peter! I got the stark internship!" When you finished, you heard a slight wince and you felt a little bad.

"Yeah, I got that from your 600 voicemails" Peter replied, kinda deadpan, but that was expected at 3 in the morning.

"Now we get to spend a lot of time together now that we have the same internship together" you explained why you were even more happier about that than usual. Peter had forgotten about that part, and wasn't sure if he could tell you he was Spiderman or not. I mean of course he wanted to, you were his best friend Y/N after all! And while Ned did know, that was by accident, and he really didn't want either of you two to get into trouble.

During this silent debate of Peter's, he seemed to have forgotten one small detail, he was still on the phone, and you had definitely noticed his silence.

"Peter, I know you're worried or panicking about something, and don't worry I'll help you if I can. Just don't be worrying about me knowing you're actually Spiderman and that is what probably your internship is" you said, you had a hunch that Peter was Spiderman, and now was a perfect time. After all, no one has enough energy at 3 am to keep a coherent lie.

"Fine Y/N, I won't, I'll see you tomorrow at school, I'll actually be there I promise, Goodnight" he told you back, not really understanding what you told him.

You figured that part out when you woke, with Peter screaming at you about the fact you knew he was Spiderman and how you can't tell anyone. Peter was a very concerned friend to say the least. You knew that if you hadn't answered when you woke up, this time you would be the one with around 600 voicemails.
