Hot chocolate and brownies, the best food to eat when its cold outside or inside. The brownies and the hot chocolate could make you feel all nice and warm inside, even if that wasn't the case. Currently, you were out of chocolate of all things, chocolate, the key thing in both of these treats. You could have gone to the store to grab it, as you, well more specifically your heart, was in dire need of it. But you had no energy to go for the same reason that heart was cold, two words, Peter Parker.

Peter Parker was an angel, and that was part of the problem. He had a heart of gold, which is how he was so good as Spiderman. You knew he was Spiderman, and that was part of the problem, Peter felt with his golden heart, that him being Spiderman and you knowing, that it would make you a target. So what did he do? He left.

He didn't physically leave and move somewhere, but he left your life, leaving a hole in you heart as you were used to having him there, ready for anything. Anytime that you would see him in the hallway, a passing glance, the hole burned. But in the end, you knew that Peter only wanted the best, so you couldn't be too mad at him. You still tried to help him as Spiderman, even if he kept trying to deter you, but you just wanted to support Peter when he supported you.

That's part of the reason that when Peter came to you and Ned, asking for a distraction, you helped him. You had an idea that it was about Spiderman, and while worried for his safety, you still wanted to help support him. So that's what you and Ned did, you distracted. The problem was when this had happened.

Your distraction was two months ago and no one had seen or heard from Peter, no one knew if he was alive. You had a feeling. See, you had this gut instincts about people you cared about, and Peter was one of them. So when people started turning to ashes around you, you knew, you inside of you, and thats why your heart was so cold. You, Ned, and MJ had become so close since then, helping each other just on the off chance that so none of you would be broken for if Peter ever came back.

That night you three were at your house, and all you wanted was hot chocolate and brownies. Looking at your friends, you felt guilty for there sadness, so you decided then and there that your feelings didn't matter for now, and that you had to fix as much of your mistake as possible. When in reality, it wasn't your fault, and feeling of grief and sadness was normal and human. But, either way, you sucked it up went to the store to get the blessed chocolate.
As you entered the store, you realized a minute too late that this was the one that was near Peter's house, grabbing the chocolate, memories of the first time you shared brownies and hot chocolate flooded you, and you had to sit on the ground to recover for a couple minutes, ignoring the strange looks. Checking out, you left to cross the street. It was dark at night and there wasn't that many cars. And thats when it happened.

"Y/N?" You turned, hearing the voice you thought you would never hear again. It was the voice that you had memorized, holding on to it as if your life depended on it. As you turned, you saw him. You saw Peter, him with all of his curly hair, all messed up, with dirt on his face. You ran, half happy, half needed to make sure it was actually him and that you weren't going insane.

Nope. It was him, it was him right in front of you. You hugged him, your guilt going away when you realized that your mistake was not permanent and that it didn't do any harm. But then you realized that Peter wasn't hugging back. Something was wrong, in fact a lot of things were wrong, such as where was the chocolate?

You took a step backwards to look at Peter, who had concern and worry written on his face. "Why are you here?" He asked, making no sense, after all you were just on the street. "You mean out so late? I was going to make brownies and hot chocolate" you told him, thinking he was worried about you being out so late.

"No, why are you here? This is the place for the dead and for the in between, and you shouldn't be dead, you can't be dead, I tried to protect you" he explained, making things more confusing for you. You weren't dead, nothing had happened to you. You were just in the middle of the street with no traffic when you found Peter, nothing more, nothing less.
Peter walked towards you, his expression becoming more clear, saying "I'm sorry, goodbye Y/N", as he pushed you, and then everything went black.

When you woke up, everything was bright and blurry, in fact it was almost all white. You sat up, your eyesight adjusting more to see Ned and MJ looking really worried and guilty. Why guilty? You knew you were in a hospital from your surroundings, you had no idea why, so that would explain why they were worried by why guilty?

As you sat there processing everything, MJ and Ned told you how that when you left the store with the chocolate how you had just stopped in the middle where you got hit by a car, knocking you unconscious for the past three days. Your brain fried up as you reached the conclusion of what this all meant, what this all meant for Peter. Your friend, who wasn't not alive like you just thought, but still dead. Your mistake was permanent and it did do harm. And you made it even worse by making your friends guilty as you were ran over getting chocolate for them.

You started crying, MJ and Ned not knowing why, but all three of you were now numb and broken, in desperate need of hot chocolate and brownies that were too far away.
