Until the end of the time, until the end of yoUr life, until your last dying breath, you promised.

Promised you would be side by side of Peter Parker, never leaving, never abandoning him. And to you he promised the same.

And you kept that promise, but it was a very short promise, as the world was cruel, and it would treat you the same, snatching up Peter from the flowers of life to the thorns of death.

It was when this happened, that you cursed yourself for not believing in ghosts, because if you did, maybe then you would still be continuing your promise, and maybe Peter's ghost would be around you forever also. He would be you until the end.

But you didn't, and you knew that if you convinced yourself now, it would never be true, as you would forever have a hidden motive, you would never truly believe in ghosts until the end when you might become one, and then it would be too late.

Besides, you didn't even know where Peter's ghost would be, even if you believed, as no one knew where Peter died. Sure, in most circumstances, Peter wouldn't be ruled dead but just missing. But he didn't disappear in regular circumstances, everyone just assumed he was dead because a person who is dead, is one less person they had to find in the midst of aliens.

So he was declared dead, for the sake of everyone's convenience. And at the sake of everyone's convenience, your promise and friendship was over, as you couldn't be friends with a dead person, could you?

So until the end of time, or at least until the end of your life, your promise was broken.

But strangely enough, that didn't bother you.

What bothered you was that you were alone. And you knew you were being selfish, but you were mad at Peter, mad for him breaking his promise,

Sure, you also broke it as a result, but you were the survivor.

Whenever you realized that, you would laugh bitterly, thinking about how usually the people who survive a terrible event are considered lucky.

How can anyone be lucky surviving the aftermath.

After all, only survivors have scars.

So you were mad at Peter, and you reasoned it that you could be, as he was the one who left, he was the one who was gone, and you were the one who had the memories and the emotions left to torture yourself.

So you could be mad.

And you were mad until the end of time.
