Since I wasn't a drop out like Van, I was back at school or college or whatever you want to call it. Further education if you will. Van was kinda annoyed that I couldn't bunk off school to go see him so I thought of a way where I could go to all my classes and still see him at the end of it. Basically I'll do my day in school, meet Van at the end by the gates where he's usually waiting with a fag in his gob and we'll go to his band practice if they've got gigs coming up - but thank god I finish in a month because then I am out of education forever and it's into the real world. I hate being told what to do, but for now, it's exam season and I've got to get revision in or god knows that I'd never pass my exam.

I was trying to figure out why my answer to the algebra question wasn't a valid answer whilst wishing for a miracle to distract me from throwing it out of the window so then x can go suck y's big toe. Honestly maths just does not stick in my head, it just does not make any logical sense to me. In the midst of me losing my mind over an algebra question, I heard something vibrate against my sheets, my phone. I frantically moved scrap paper that had scribbles and doodles on it to try and find whoever was calling me (most likely one of the boys). It's strange, I haven't heard much from Billy. I found that my phone was underneath my pillow the whole time, now creating a mess in my room, I answered the call with a sigh.

"Lisa?" Just as I sighed a loud sigh came through and I knew Van was either stressing about something or he was tired.

"Hey Van, you alright?"

"Yeah, uh, are you busy?"

Yes. "No, why?"

"Wanna come over? I need your help."

"Ok..?" Van had never really asked me for his help before.

"It's about the band, be quick please." He tried his best not to be passive aggressive and I knew something was up. I immediately postponed all of my "revision" to go see my lovely boyfriend who needs help with his band..oh how I love procrastinating. I slipped on my shoes and grabbed keys and off I went to Van's house. I hadn't even approached the door and Van was waiting, his hair looking like a birds nest.

"You ok Van?" I asked as he opened the door wider to let me in, closing it behind me.

"No." He sighed, running his hands through his hair, walking off into the kitchen. I raised my eyebrows in surprise and followed him further into his house.

"Are you going to tell me why?" I asked, a little unsure smirk fell to my lips.

"I'm so fuckin' stressed Lisa. Non of them even like my demos..I just, I tried hard man and nothin's fuckin' workin'." He sighed aggravated and stood, his hand gripping onto his hair. I couldn't help but keep a smile to my face as I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his body. "Lisa.."

"Yes Ryan?"

"I'm being serious right now. This band needs a manager or we're goin' nowhere!" He frustratedly pulled away from my embrace and started pacing around the kitchen.

"I'm sure you'll find one. It takes time." I tried my best to reassure him since I don't really understand how managers and bands work.

"No Lisa, you don't get it, do you? We need one nooow." He huffed, rolling his eyes. He began ranting on an how important this band was to him and how much they needed a manger to succeed when actually in my eyes they're doing pretty good without one; they've built up a decent sized fan base that sells out pubs, they've blown multiple audiences away with their performances, they've got hundreds of songs that Van's mind keeps brainstorming and they've already released EP's and several demos. He can't turn back now. However, no matter how much I tried to explain to Van that they don't need a manger just yet, he was still freaked out at the fact that he thinks that I don't support him, he wouldn't even let me get a word in before he thinks I was going to be pessimistic about it.

"I'm just gonna go." I mumbled, slightly turning my hands up like I surrendered. There was no point in arguing with him since he wasn't going to listen or take it on board anyway.

"What? Why? Lisa?" His voice softened and followed me just as I got to the front door.

"Van, I get here to your sorry state and you don't even want me to comfort you? And you wonder why I don't want to be here." I explained in a little huff, getting ready to grab the door handle.

"No Lisa." He held my arm, making me turn back. "don't go."

"Look, I'll call you tomorrow." I turned away, his grip loosening from mine as I opened the door to see Benji and Larry getting ready to knock on the door with a smile. I excused myself, walking between them as I made my way down his drive way. What an exit.

I went back home feeling like I had just wasted an hour and a half of my day to Van moaning about not being able to find a manager in time, when yes, they might need one but to be honest I think they're doing fine without one, but that's just my opinion. I followed the rest of my day like normal day: finishing off my revision and chilling out in my room until I fall asleep. I wouldn't say I was an A* student but I knew what I had to do to achieve my grades and that's good enough for me.

Van tried to call me during the evening but I just wasn't in the mood to talk to him. I knew he'd just apologise and that's it we'd move on but for me, it wasn't just an apology. I think I need to talk to him about it, it seemed like he was bottling something up. But for now, I'll call him tomorrow and let him cool off, then we'll talk properly since if I answered his calls it would end up in another argument.

That was the first argument that me and Van ever had. I know it want a full blown shouting match but it was something that me and Van both didn't agree on, we had different opinions.
