Chapter Fifteen

"Calm down, old lady. I am one of you," Amelia started backing down but her vision was blurry thanks to that dose of drugs. She wished she didn't take it easy when the hunter first captured her. She went along with it, thinking that the hunter be the laughing stock for the association when this goes out.

"How stupid and arrogant," she silently cursed herself.

"Wait! Wait! What is your name? I think I deserve your name the very least," Amelia pleaded, trying to buy more time for her to figure something out.

"Kelly. Kelly Stone. If you are his, you are not one of us," she said as she wrapped her hand around Amelia's neck, efficiently stopping her from escaping. Amelia trashed her leg around, attempting to somehow kick her off.

"Stop struggling. You will only make it worse," she said. She slit Amelia's thighs, leaving a trail of blood.

"OUCH!!! You Crazy Biatch," she cursed, ramming her head into Kelly's chest, hoping to somewhat throw her off for a split second but it did the exact opposite as Kelly slit her other leg. Amelia fell to her knees. The wound did hurt her but it wasn't certainly not enough to bring her down but the drugs weaken her immensely. With her blurry vision and weaken muscles, Amelia was left in a confused state. "Why are you doing this," she asked meekly.

"I told you not to move. It will only make the drug more effective. If you wish for it to stop, simply call him here. This trap will be the death of him,"

"I CAN'T SUMMON HIM HERE, YOU FOOL," she yelled as she tried to make the clockwork in her brain to function again. She need to fight this drug. There must be a loophole somewhere.

"So be it. He will still come for you. We just have to wait," she said as she leaned back against the wall.

Her confidence that Amelia couldn't escape infuriated her.

"I will escape. I will escape and you are so friggin dead," she swore to herself.

And so, they waited and waited. Amelia waited for the drugs to slightly wear off for her strength to return and Kelly waited for Lucian who has yet to appear.

Wrapped in his own world of him and Amelia, he continued to get the grocery in haste. He didn't want to waste any time on this so-called grocery shopping which was definitely not asked by their maid but merely a scheme by Lucian to get Amelia out with him in the open.

Something is amiss.

His heart seemed troubled for some reason. He looked back at the café but she was no longer there. His pupils dilated as he quickened each step of his back to the café. There was a faint smell of her but the different scent from the number of humans here was throwing him off. He slammed the door open with a loud bang.

"Hey! Sir! You can't just march in here! You will to pay for the damage!" One of

the baristas shouted over the counter. Everyone in the café was throwing him looks and he paid them no mind.

Amelia.

She was definitely not here but he couldn't sense any vampire stench in there either.

Did she leave on her own?

But, something felt wrong. He could feel his gut churning at the thoughts of anything, anything at all happening to her.

Damn it.

He can't pinpoint her exact location with her scent so faint and their mate bond has yet to be made. Just as about he was about to leave, he caught a distinct scent of a hunter. They always have the same smell on them. The smell of copper blood with that foul herb, escare.

"Hunter? Why? Did she leave with them? Did they force her? What the hell is going on? " Hectic thoughts raced across his mind but there was one thing for certain. Either way, he definitely doesn't like the fact that her lil hunter was off his sight. He let go of his breath that he was holding and reached for his people in his mind, "Come to me."

Within minutes and dark clouds hiding away the sun, they were everywhere. On the rooftop, hiding behind the stalls, in the back alley and some in plain sight. They were dressed in black heavy thick clothes and coats to avoid any sunlight despite the fact that it was already cloudy.

"My lord," they greeted in unison in through their open mind link.

"Find her," Lucian commanded.
