They entered the church and the people's faces filled with fear, some of them were gasping in fear. Hertha and Olin's face was filled with glee. "What shall we do with them father," Hertha asked. "Kill most of them and keep the rest alive for the trip home," King Hjalmar replied as he looked at Hertha. "Yes father," Hertha said as she moved towards the people in the church. After they killed most of the people in church, they celebrated and collected their spoils. Hertha was sitting on the floor of the church trying to clean her sword off of all the blood with a rag. "You were right Hertha," King Hjalmar said as he sat down on the floor next to her. "About," Hertha asked as she looked at her father. "About this place," King Hjalmar replied with admiration in his voice.

"This place will make a great settlement for our people," King Hjalmar continued. "I'm glad you think so father," Hertha said as she put her sword down. "Now we should rebuild the defences now that we're settling here. And bring our stuff from camp to here," Hertha continued. "I'll make the arrangement," King Hjalmar said as he stood up. A few hours the survivor who ran away from Earmon arrived at the castle of Earleen Hold.

A guard saw a man covered in dirt running towards the castle. "Halt, what business do you have here," The guard asked as the survivor got closer to the gate. "I have terrible news of the fate of the town called Earmon," The survivor replied as he tried to catch his breath. "It has been raided and taken over by raiders," The survivor continued. "Open the gates," The guard screamed. "Go, hurry, tell the king what you told me before things get worse there," The guard continued. The survivor entered the castle and saw nothing but nobles and beauty all around him. The nobles looked at him with disgust. They never seen someone covered in so much filth.

As he got closer to the house of the king the more beauty he saw. This was his first time entering the castle of Earleen Hold. When he approached the king's home the doors opened for him. He entered the hall of Earleen Hold and saw his king talking to a boy at his throne. He was wearing wore a long woolen black shirt and long black cloth trousers which were held by a sash. On top of his he was wearing a three quarter coat with a belt. On his feet, he wore black socks and black long leather boots. He also was wearing a crown on his head. He had black long wavy hair and stubble with green eyes. He was the age of forty five.

The boy was sitting in the other throne meant for the queen. He wore a long woolen black shirt and a long light brown cloth trousers which was held by a sash. On top of his he was wearing a three quarter coat with a belt. On his feet, he wore white shoes and black long leather boots. As the survivor got closer to the throne, the king turned his attention to the survivor. "My King Edwin Backus i'm sorry to interrupt you but I have terrible news to tell you," The survivor said as he bowed to KIng Edwin. "What is this news you have to tell me," KIng Edwin asked as he made a gesture to signal the survivor to stand up. "The town I live in called Earmon has been raided and conquered by raiders," The survivor replied as he stood up.

King Edwin looked at the boy with worry then back at the survivor with a calm but unsteady look on his face. "Did they look like they're from here," King Edwin asked as he shifted in his throne. "No King Edwin they do not," The survivor replied. "They look like foreign to me, King Edwin," The survivor continued. "Thank you for bringing this to me," KIng Edwin said. "You may stay here for a while until we find somewhere to put you," King Edwin continued. "Yes King Edwin and thank you for your generosity," The survivor said as he bowed and left. "My boy Fulton told the commander of my army I needed to see him in the war," King Edwin said. "Yes father," Fulton said as he got up off the throne.

Back at Earmon King Hjalmar had his men burn the bodies of the dead. While Hertha and Stigr were planning and fixing up the defences of the town. Hertha told some of the men to patrol the area and report anything odd. Then she told them to protect all three stairs. After that she helped her men build defences inside Earmon. Stigr was helping to fix the gate that they broke down. After building most of the defences of the town Hertha, Stigr and King Hjalmar took a break. They went into church that looked like the great hall at home. Hertha walked up to an altar in the church.

It was a woman holding up a sword in the air with determination on her face. "What is that sister," Stigr asked as he handed her a cup filled with water. "I have no idea Stigr," Hertha replied as she took the cup. "But I don't like it," Hertha continued as she took a sip. "I heard from our captures that it is their god Amos," Olin said as he walked up behind them. "We don't need this here," Hertha said as she took it down and threw it on the floor. "Odin the allfather is my god," Stigr said as he kicked the altar across the floor. While in the castle of Earleen Hold King Edwin was his commander of his army coming up with a plan to take back Earmon from the raider. His son Fulton was waiting outside the door trying to hear what was going on in the war room.

A woman walked up behind, it was his mother Queen Ade was wearing a long purple dress. Over the dress she wore a long woolen tunic, a little like an apron. It was held up by a pair of brooches. On top of her dress she was wearing a three quarter coat with a belt. On her feet, she wore black socks and black long leather boots. She was wearing her crown on her head. She had long beautiful dark brown hair that was braided into a ponytail with blue eyes. She was at the age of thirty seven. "What are you listening to my child," Queen Ada asked. "I'm listening to father and commander talk about Earmon " Fulton replied as he pressed his closer to the door.

"About what," Queen Ada asked as she got closer to the door. "They're talking about what happened at Earmon," Fulton replied. "What happened at Earmon," Queen Ada asked. "It was raided and conquered by raiders," Fulton replied. "Your father should have told me and i've would have sent a message to my father," Queen Ada said. "Well he's a clever man i'm sure he'll figure that out," Fulton said. "But he's also a weak man," Queen Ada said. "He'll let anyone walk all over him," Queen Ada continued. "That's also true," Fulton said with a chuckle.
