"Shield wall," Even screamed as he stepped back. His men put their shields in front of him. Even grabbed the dying man's shield and joined the shield wall. The villagers clashed into the shield wall, a few of the villagers entered the shield wall. They killed four of Even's men as they entered the shield wall. And three more of his men before they were killed by Even and his men. The boy's parents and six other villagers broke through the shield wall. The boy's father knocked down Even and killed four of his men, while the boy's mother killed six of his men. The boy was hiding under a bush and had a good view of the battle. He was proud of his parents as they defeated some of Even's men.

Even got up from the ground and stabbed the boy's father in the back. The boy watched in horror while the boy's mother ran towards Even as her husband died on the ground. Even dodged the boy's mother and stabbed her in the neck. "No mother," The boy screamed as he watched in horror as both of his parents. Even went towards the screams with his weapon in his hand. He saw a scared and angry little boy with tears rolling down his face. When Even looked into the boy's eyes, he saw the dead farmer boy in the villager boy's eyes. "Go boy," Even whispered as he looked at him with worry. "Run for your life boy before they kill you," Even continued as he looked around himself. As the boy ran for life deep into the woods Even felt relief filled his body.

He saved the life of an innocent this time and went back to finish the raid. Even killed eight other villagers before the reading was done. "Search this place and take anything that has value," Even said as he sheathed his sword. "Yes Even," One of the men said as he sheathed her sword and entered the home of one of the dead villagers. "What should we do with our dead," Another man asked as he looked at the dead bodies. "We should bury our dead after we take the treasures here," Even replied as he looked at the dead bodies with the man. "Yes Even," The man said as he left Even side and entered the home of another of the dead villagers. After taking the treasures of the dead villagers they headed back to camp. Then returned to the village and brought back their dead back to camp. They had funerals for the warriors who died in battles.

"We wouldn't lose so many men if that idiot watched his surroundings," Even said with anger. "Who is to say that would prevent this," A man asked as he looked at Even."The gods have already decided our fates when we're first born into this world. Don't grieve from them too much they're in Valhalla," The man continued as he walked away. An hour later the camp was drinking and celebrating their victory. "To Even for this successful raid we're on," One of the men said as he raised a cup of ale in the air. "To Even our new commander," Everyone said as they raised their cup of ale in the air. Even felt loved and appreciated as everyone celebrated their victory. "I'm not the real commander," Even said as he drank his cup of ale. "But you could be Even," One of the men said as he drank his cup of ale

A few hours later the boy from the village was running for Asbjorn island with dried tears on his face. Four hours later the boy from the village arrived to Asbjorn island out of breath and tired. The boy looked weak and hungry when he arrived to Asbjorn island. One of the guards saw the boy and walked up to him. "Are you lost boy," The guard asked as he walked up to the boy. "No, I'm in Asbjorn island, this is the right place," The boy replied as he looked up at the guard. "I need to talk to King Hjalmar," The boy continued with anger in his voice. "Why do you need to talk to the king," The guard asked as he looked at the boy with confusion. "My village was raided by raiders and they killed my parents," The boy replied as the images of his father and mother dying.

The guard saw the boy's pain in his eyes and felt bad for him. "Come follow me boy," The guard said as he walked away. The boy followed the guard as his eyes started fill with tears. As they arrived the guard stopped at the door of King Hjalmar's home. "Wait here and i'll talk to King Hjalmar," The guard said as he looked at the boy. "Ok i'll be here," The boy said as sat down on a bench. The guard entered the door of King Hjalmar's home and walked through the great hall. King Hjalmar was sitting on his throne talking to his children about the victories against the bandits. "King Hjalmar a boy wants to speak to you," The guard said as he bowed. "What does the boy want to talk about," King Hjalmar asked as the guard stood up. "One of your village was raided by raiders and they killed his parents," The guard replied.

"Bring the boy to me," King Hjalmar said with anger in his voice. "I need to know who is raiding my lands," King Hjalmar continued. "Yes King Hjalmar," The guard said as he bowed and left the great hall. "Boy follow me into the great hall," The guard said as he stepped outside. "King Hjalmar wants to speak with you," The guard replied as the boy stood up from the bench. When the guard brought the boy to King Hjalmar he bowed to the king. "What is your name, boy," King Hjalmar asked the boy as he stood up. "My name is Felman Hérou," Felman replied. "How old are you," King Hjalmar asked. "I just turned fifthteen a few weeks ago," Felman replied. "I heard your village was raided and your parents were killed by raiders," King Hjalmar said.

"Yes King Hjalmar," Felman said with sadness as he thought about his parents. "What village are from Felman," King Hjalmar asked. "I'm from Jeppe King Hjalmar," Felman replied. "Did you see who was the leader of this raid," King Hjalmar asked. "I think so King Hjalmar," Felman replied as he tried to remember the man who saved his life. "It was very dark that night and I couldn't see well," Felman continued. "Try to remember Felman," King Hjalmar said as he walked up to Felman. "This is very important," King Hjalmar continued as he put his hand on Felman's shoulder. "The man had grey eyes," Felman said as he looked up at King Hjalmar. "He also had light brown with long hair," Felman continued. "That sounds like King Calder's brother," Hertha said as she looked at her father. "Who is King Calder's brother," King Hjalmar asked. "He's name is Even and he's a great warrior," Hertha replied.

"Thank you for the information you brought me," King Hjalmar said as let go of Frelman's shoulder. "You may stay here for a while to eat and sleep. Servant bring him some food and drinks. Also find him somewhere to sleep," King Hjalmar continued. "Yes King Hjalmar," The servant said as she left the room to get food and drinks. "Hertha what village is next from Jeppe," King Hjalmar asked as he walked back to his throne. "Preben one of our biggest farm," Hertha replied as King Hjalmar sat down. "Tomorrow you, Stigr, and Olin take as many warriors as you need. When you defeat them check if they raided any other villages," King Hjalmar continued. "Yes father," Hertha said.
