Seven days later they arrived to Akehold at night, most of the people of Akehold were asleep and a few were still walking around drinking and talking to each other. When they arrived home they were all tired from the battle against King Calder and the journey back home. Ten minutes later they arrived to shore and hopped off their boat. King Hjalmar, Eirik, Hertha, Stigr, and Olin, and the other warriors went home while King Hjalmar's alles went to the inn. When they got home the great hall was empty Queen Kari and the servants were asleep. Five minutes later so were they. In the morning King Hjalmar told everyone of their success in the battle. They had a little celebration for the successful battle against King Calder. Eirik, Stigr, Hertha, Olin, and four other people were sitting at a table talking and eating at a table.
Hertha got done eating her bowl of rabbit stew as the others were finishing up their bowls. "I'm proud of my niece and nephew," Eirik said as he ate his bowl of rabbit stew. "They fought bravely and defeated our enemies with no hensation," Eirik continued. "We learned from the best," Hertha said. "You and father," Hertha continued. "Now that the battle is over what will you do," Eirik asked. "I'm going to talk to my father about this map i've found again," Hertha said. "I want to go to this island and see if it is true what they say. The people who I spoke to say it's impregnable. I want to see if it's true," Hertha continued. "Where did you find the map," Eirik asked. "From the bandits of the stronghold of Preben," Hertha replied. "Me, Stigr, and Olin defeated them. I've found a map in the stronghold and I got my new sword from the leader of the bandits," Hertha continued as she showed him her sword.
"What a beautiful sword," Eirik said as Hertha laid her sword on the table. "If Hjalmar agrees to do this raid I love to do a raid where there's a challenge," Eirik continued. "Sure you can, I'll even bet father will let you help come up with the plan," Hertha said. When noon arrived Hertha walked up to her father with the map in her hand. "Father I need to talk to you," Hertha said as she sat on her mother's throne. "When we defeated the bandits of the stronghold of Preben I found a map. I told you that we should go here and raid this island for its treasures. You said that we should wait till we defeated the raiders and we got distracted by Even's and Calder's raids on us. Now since that's over with I want to raid this island," Hertha continued as she handed him the map. "I agree with you Hertha," King Hjalmar said as he looked at the map. "This island looks like a great place to raid. But i'm not going with you. I think you're old enough to go on your own raids," King Hjalmar continued.
"Really," Hertha asked with a smile on her face. "Yes I really do," King Hjalmar replied as he handed her back the map. "Our people love and respect you as a warrior. They followed you into battle before and you had a lot of success when Even raided us. I'm sure they'll be willing to go on a raid with you," King Hjalmar continued. "Thank you father," Hertha said as the smile on her face grew bigger. "I'll gather some of our best warriors and come up with a plan," Hertha continued as she stood up from the throne. Four hours later she told the people of Asbjorn Island.that she was planning her own raid and she needed warriors to join her. Over two hundred warriors wanted to go with her. Even some of their allies asked if they could join her on her raid. After she had all the warriors and boats that she needed she now needed to come up with a plan to get there. She was sitting at a table drinking a cup of water and looking at the map. "What are you doing," Eirik asked as he sat down next to her.
"I'm trying to come with a plan on how we're going to get there," Hertha replied as she drank her cup of water. "The people who I spoke to said that there's three routes. The two routes that they suggested would take too long and we would run out of food and supplies. But the third one is close to Earleen. We have a stronghold there and we could get more supplies there," Hertha continued. "When are we heading out," Eirik asked as he filled a cup with water. "In a few days the boatmaker wants to make sure that his boats can handle the journey there," Hertha replied. Eight days later the boats were ready and people were saying their goodbye. "I'm proud of you Hertha," King Hjalmar said with a smile on his face. "I know that you will not disappoint me," King Hjalmar continued as he hugged her. "If the gods are with me I won't," Hertha said as she let him go. Thirty minutes later everyone was in their boats heading to Earleen.
