Leaving

How can I bare to witness the tears

Of the one who has been there for me?

How can I handle the tears of the one

Who has cared for me?

How can I be there for her, to comfort her

To wipe away those tears?

It’s a time for leaving but I don’t want to go, shifting

It’s a time to dance but it’s a time for tears.

My future is ahead, but how bright is it

When I am leaving the one who has been by my side?

How am I suppose to handle any prosperity

When I am leaving the one who is my prosperity?

How am I to dream of a bright, shining future

When my map is lost with the one who is searching?

The answers are in the mist but I will never stop

I will keep going, I will keep fighting

Until the day comes when the one is by my side
