I lay with my body bowed,

Waiting to serve another in need.

For this person is not my master

But one who is in need.

I serve others with tiresome hands,

But with a strong heart.

My body may be bruised,

But my soul will go on.

For my body is not bowed

Because I am weak,

But to show I can serve

And still have the strongest soul.
