Glory Soda!

Chapter 6

"I'm going to work. Bye Pony, TwoBit." He said as he left. Me and TwoBit exchanged looks, before following. "Soda!" TwoBit called after him. He turned. "Yeah?" He stopped, and we caught up to him. "What happened?" TwoBit asked in trepidation. "Nothing." He shrugged . TwoBit rolled his eyes. "Honestly, he thinks we're morons!" He said to me, and I smirked. "Seriously, nothing wrong. Darry's just being annoying. I didn't have any excuse, so I just left." He said, and TwoBit looked him over. "Ok. Are you really goin to work?" He asked, and Soda shrugged. "I'm gonna walk to Steve-o's, and then we'll go to work together." He said, and TwoBit nodded. "What time is is?" Soda asked TwoBit, and he checked the watch he had stolen from some guy at school. "10:00." He said. "I really should be going." He said, "Bye, y'all!" He called over his shoulder, before disappearing in the distance. "What should we do?" I asked him, and he shrugged. "Wanna go over to the corner store?" He asked. "Sure." I said. I looked down. "I need to get in actual clothes first." I said, and we walked back to the house in silence. When we went through the door, TwoBit slammed it shut. I walked into me and Sodas bedroom, and TwoBit sunk onto the couch. I started looking through the drawer for a decent shirt to wear. I pulled out a plaid short sleeved black and white one that used to be Sodas. I got a pair of blue jeans and cuffed them. Then I walked into the bathroom and greased my hair back. When I was satisfied, I walked into the living room. When I was at the bed of the hallway, I stopped dead. "He's at work, which I'm pretty sure he already told you." TwoBit said coldly, and I could hear a growl. He must be talking to Darry. "Listen, I just want to talk to him, ok?" I heard Darry say. "Yeah, whatever." TwoBit said back, and he sat back down on the couch. I walked out, and TwoBit shot up again. "Let's go Pony. Bye." He said before walking out the door, me following closely behind.
