Chapter 34: Return Part 2

*Y/n POV*

I looked down at my legs, the bottom of which had completely turned to dust and floated away. The dust was spreading up my body, and was quickly at my torso.

"W-well Great Red," I said weakly, "It would have been interesting to be your partner, but it seems it won't be happening."

"Unfortunately not." He said, "I had hoped you would be a powerful partner, but it seems our time has come to an end."

I let out a cough, as my chest began to turn into dust.

"Good...bye."

*Rias POV*

I sat in my dorm, looking over Fell Cyclone repeatedly, as if it held the clues to everything we needed to know.

Everyone else was with me, the name Y/n stuck in all our heads. Who was this mysterious man? And why do I feel like my heart is missing, as if I lost someone I loved?

I pondered these questions, as the intercom came on, and Ozpin's voice pierced the silence.

"All Students, grab your weapons and come to Emerald Forest. I repeat, all Students, grab your weapons and come to Emerald Forest."

We all looked at each other, before standing up, and leaving the room.

"What do you think is happening?" Akeno asked.

"I have no idea," I replied, "But I don't think it'll be good."

We walked out of the building, alongside the entire student body. There were professional huntsmen everywhere, walking with us. I saw Y/n's old family as well, carrying their weapons.

We all walked out to Emerald forest, where Ozpin was waiting.

"Students!" He said, "Calm down, calm down!"

After the noise quieted down, he continued.

"Students, my worst fears have been realized," He said, "An army of Grimm is preparing to attack Vale, and possibly destroy the world."

Students began to gasp and look around worriedly, the news causing panic almost immediately.

"Quiet, quiet!" He yelled, "Now listen up, we're the one's in charge of defending the city, until reinforcements can arrive! Fourth years, you're responsible for protecting the southern flank of the city, follow Professor Port, he'll lead you there!"

Professor Port led the Fourth years to a bunch of Bullheads, as they took off quickly.

"Third Years, you'll be going with Professor Oobleck, and you'll be working with huntsmen to secure the eastern flank of the city."

The third years piled onto Bullheads, flying off to protect the city.

"Second years and first years, you'll be going with Ms.Goodwitch, you'll be protecting the northern flank of the city, towards Forever Falls."

We began to follow the crowd, when Sirzechs appeared and stopped us.

"You will be coming with me." He said.

We followed him, leading us straight to Ozpin. There was me, my peerage, team RWBY, Team JNPR, and Qrow and Taiyang.

"Prof.Ozpin," I said, "What's going on?"

He let out a deep breath, "It would appear Ophis is working along side the Queen of Grimm, and now has an army of Grimm she's using."

"Queen of Grimm?" Kiba asked.

"Yes," Sirzechs said, "Salem, the woman who creates Grimm. Her plans include destroying humanity, something her and Ophis have in common."

"Brother," I said, "What're we supposed to do?"

"I have my army prepared to help defend," He said, "And I was hoping we could have the dragons help us?"

Funus landed on my right shoulder, Gaos on my left. The other two were hovering in the air.

"You will have our power." Funus said.

"Yeah, I've come to like you humans and devils," Gaos said, "It would suck if you all died."

"Good," Sirzechs said, "For now, we have to wait until Ophis shows herself, and then we'll attack."

We all went off to prepare ourselves, as I went up to Sirzechs.

"Brother, does the name Y/n sound familiar to you?"

He bent over, grabbing his head. But instead of groaning, he just smiled, and stood up straight.

"You know what?" He said, "It does. Hearing it makes me... happy. And proud. And brotherly. Something tells me that 'Y/n' is going to help us here."

I smiled as well, before pulling Fell Cyclone off my back, holding it in sniper form.

"Let's hope he does."
