*Y/n POV*

Two weeks. It's been two weeks since the fall of Beacon.

I haven't heard from any of my peerage, since I had sent most of them home after the fall. The only ones I still have contact with are Raynare, Ophis, and Ravel. They were staying with me at the Gremory Manor.

That's the other thing. Dad had called me and Rias back home, and we aren't allowed to leave. Rias' peerage was allowed to eave the manor, but had to stay in Hell, and Ravel was allowed to visit her family, but no one else was allowed to leave the manor.

I felt like I had a lot of eyes on me, as if people expected me to ditch at the first opportunity. Of course, Dad probably told them to watch me, for good reason.

But I'm getting claustrophobic. Training with Funus, Gaos, and the other dragons has gotten me itching for a real fight. And my research into the Ancient Beasts has me curious.

Apparently the last wielder of one of the Ancient Beasts disappeared, taking the beast with him. The wielder of Nex, Salem's gear, died a hundred or so years ago. But apparently, there was one more Beast, one that hadn't been heard of in hundreds of thousands of years.

I could find that last Beast, and get a leg up on Salem and her Grimm.

I told Dad about this, but he refuses to let me leave.

Currently, I'm standing on the balcony that connected to my room, as everyone else was doing their own thing. I was grateful for the moment of silence, as Raynare, Ravel, Ophis, and even Rias had been clingy recently, apparently trying to make up for the mix-up with the other guy.

Funus stood on my shoulder, as I leaned against the balcony. Gaos flew over and landed on the railing next to me.

"You seem anxious, Partner," Funus said, "What's wrong?"

I let out a deep breath, "I need out of here. Now. I'm going to kill something if I don't."

"Calm down kid," Gaos said, "We can't go anywhere."

"That's right, Dad won't let you."

I turned to the new voice, and saw Sirzechs walk out onto the balcony, and stand next to me.

"But if he wasn't paying attention..."

"What are you getting at?" I asked.

"I'll distract Dad for you," He said, "And you get out of here."

"Why?"

"Simple," He said, "I think you can win. Now are you going to agree, or are you going to stay here?"

"The girls can NOT know," I said, "I'll leave without them."

"Okay," He said, "Now get a move on packing, I'll go distract Dad."

He walked away, and I threw some clothes in a bag. When I heard Sirzechs and Dad talking downstairs, I jumped off the balcony, and spread my wings, falling to the ground.

"Damn," I said, "My wings still haven't healed."

"Let's get out of here, Partner."

"Agreed."

We ran to the fence, and climbed over, teleporting back to Remnant.

"Okay Funus."

"No need to say more."

He transformed into his full form, and spread his wings.

"That feels amazing!"

"Hey, I'm going to make a call!"

"Hurry up!"

I pulled out my scroll, and dialed in a number, waiting for them to pick up.

"Hey, good to here from you," I said, "Listen, I'm back on Remnant. I'll call you soon with a location we can meet, but for now, just stay with her and wait for my call. Talk to you soon."

I cut the call and put my scroll away, and turned to Funus.

"Hey, where are we going to go?" I asked, climbing onto his back.

"I know a place where we can go," He said, "It's an ancient temple where people used to worship me."

"Why are we going there?"

"I have an idea."

"Alright, I'll trust you on this one."

"Good, now, let's go!"

With a flap of his mighty wings, we took off into the sky, as I felt the wind on my face.

"This is AWESOME!"
