*Third Person POV*
"Neo, get down!"
Roman Torchwick sat with his back against the short wall he was hiding behind, as bullets struck the wall and ground. His cane was right next to him, and Neo jumped over a wall a few feet away, ducking under her umbrella.
"We need to get out of here!" He yelled, "Atlas is coming down hard!"
He leaned over the wall and fire a red dust crystal at the soldiers that were coming at them, causing an explosion. He and Neo got up and ran even farther back, towards the warehouse they were hiding in.
Neo grabbed a brick that was near her, and threw it at one of the robots. The brick struck it in the chest, knocking it back into the other soldiers.
Roman ran into the warehouse, and held the door open for Neo, as she ran in and fell to the ground. Roman slammed the door, using a large metal beam to prop it shut.
"Damn," He said, falling to the ground, "Where's the boss? We sure could use his help."
Neo nodded along, as she leaned against the wall next to him. They both sat there panting, as there was heavy pounding on the door.
"Torchwick!" A voice came, "This is Lieutenant General Copperpine! Open this door or face the consequences!"
Roman didn't respond, and nothing was heard from the other side of the door.
On the other side, a tall man with brown hair stood with his arms behind his back. He wore a long white coat, white military hat, and a pistol holstered at his hip. His chest was covered in emblems, symbolizing his rank and achievements.
He sighed, and turned to one of his soldiers.
"I was hoping to resolve this peacefully," He said, "After all, we're after Y/n Gremory, not them. Place the charges."
One of the soldiers brought out a bag of c4, and placed one against the door. The soldiers and General all backed away, and the soldier brought out the remote.
Inside, Neo leaned against Roman, and he wrapped his arms around her. They sat there, preparing themselves for the blast.
The blast that never came.
After about five minutes, Roman heard knocking at the door. A familiar voice called out to them.
"Roman!" The voice said, "It's us out here!"
"Is that... Yang?" Roman said incredulously.
They slowly stood up and moved towards the door, opening it slightly. Roman looked through the crack and saw the familiar head of blonde hair that stood on the other side.
"Yang," He sighed, "We're so glad you're all here."
"We can tell," Raynare said, "What happened here?"
"General Copperpine," Roman explained, "He came to arrest us for information on the boss."
"Wait, Atlas wants to find Lord Y/n?" Ravel asked, "But why?"
Neo shrugged and shook her head, as they looked around.
"Copperpine?" Ophis questioned, "That's the guy that's taking over for Ironwood."
"Wait, Ironwood was fired?" Roman asked, "Why?"
"Not fired, killed," Yang said, "We got a lot to explain."
They walked inside, unaware of the drone that was flying nearby. The drone was connected to a nearby Bullhead, where General Copperpine was reading a letter.
My dear friend Steven,
It has come to my attention that my recent investigation has turned many eyes onto me. I am thankful that you believe me about the events that occurred at Torchwick's prison break. I am also sorry for and regretting what I have to ask.
My days are coming short, my friend. Whether it be from the devils or supernatural forces that freed Torchwick or my own superiors, I will be removed from my position or killed.
It is with that realization, that I must ask you to take my position. This would put you in control of most of Atlas Military's forces and give you the ability to continue the research I have begun. I regret that I cannot offer more to you.

James 'Jimmy' Ironwood.
Copperpine closed the letter and put it in his jacket pocket, making sure it was safe. He sighed, and looked at the screen, seeing the strange group of people walk into the warehouse.
"You knew all this was going to happen, Jimmy," He said, "I'll find that bastard who killed you, and avenge you. I'll kill every devil I find."
