| VISERYA HAD ALREADY ARRANGED THE PLAN IN HER MIND BY TIME THEY HAD ARRIVED OUTSIDE OF YORK. Her first action to putting her plan into work was leaving Finan and Uhtred behind to wait outside—to which both strongly disagreed. They knew Ivar hated her especially, after the last meeting the two had.
Viserya dismounted her horse, casting a look to both of her guards before slowly starting down towards the war savaged town. Finan motioned at Uhtred but he did nothing. All they could do now was wait and hope for the best...
Smoke filled the town, filling every hidden corner with the stench. The smell of burning flesh and death was perhaps the most unbearable when compared to the smoke. In an effort to keep the smell at bay, Viserya covered her nose with her hand as she continued on.
Many of the Danes she passed didn't do much but stare at her with their wide empty eyes, void of any feelings. She was a lone dragon in a world amongst much more violent beasts. Viserya just avoided eye contact as she continued along with her little journey. However, she took note of the Danes throwing meat or whatever it was into small fires—creating the illusion that they were burning their dead.
Didn't take much for one to figure that out, it were all a trick. She was starting to think that maybe sending Ragno away and keeping Finan and Uthred outside wasn't such a good idea.
"Ivar, someone is here demanding that she talk to you." Ivar smiles widely and looks to Hvitserk , " Oh a woman, bring her in." He causally waves to the guards.
Without a moment to spare, Viserya walked into the church with a few Danes following closely behind. Some awed in wonder to be this close to her while others turned their noses up at her. Ivar narrows his eyes at her as she stops just a few feet away from him. The eerie silence casts an ominous feeling amongst the room.
Ivar breaks the silence by laughing out, " Ohhh little sister! What a suprise, it was nice of you to come check up on me. Especially after our last meeting. But I was expecting someone else when my guard said woman." He smiles in a grimace manner.
