| VISERYA LAID ON HER BED WITH HER ARMSoutstretched flat beside her body as her eyes fixed on the canopy above—slowly tracing the decorative patterns over and over. There was a silence to the room, not complete silence since the animals and people outside could be heard doing their daily chores.
This particular silence was one she could only deal with, one that was like a snake waiting to strike at the moment when least expected. She withdrawn her breath in before exhaling deeply, filling the room with at least some noise to her amusement. Her illness up until that point had persisted at every waking moment, early in the morning before the day began and even at night.
But still, she didn't understand why she was placed on bed rest. After all, it should have been the king, he had lost his brother only a few days ago. But atlas, she begged and begged—pleading that she was fine but of course Beocca refused to listen.
Viserya continued to trace the decorative patterns with her eyes as the thought of being stuck there again for another day overwhelmed her. But as the overwhelming gloom sat upon her, the doors suddenly swung open and there popped in Alfred.
She quickly sat herself up in excitement, smiling as she watched him beam around. She knew he noticed her and he only paused when he had his crown in his hands and then his eyes looked over to her. " I know what your trying to do and it's not going to work." Alfred pointed out. Viserya glanced around and cocked her head, " Oh whatever do you mean?" She replied in an innocent voice.
