"I told you, babalik lang ako sa'yo kapag ibibigay mo sa akin ang lupa namin..." Umiwas ako ng tingin.

I can't loose right now. Hindi pwedeng magpapadala ako diyan sa mga sinasabi niya dahil first of all, he's an enemy and lastly, I shouldn't feel the word concern for him.

"A-about the land..." Tila nag-aalangan niyang sabi kaya napalingon ako sa kaniya.

Kumamot siya sa batok niya at hindi makatingin sa akin kaya bigla akong kinutuban. My forehead wrinkled.

Don't tell me, hindi niya maibibigay sa akin?!

What the, ayaw ko ng makipagrelasyon sa kaniya! That relationship was so toxic for me. Not good for my thoughts and for my heart!

This darn mission is killing me so hard, it is so hard for me. I'm kinda ripped right now.

"The land?" Tanong ko.

He sighed and fix his sit. Sinundan ko naman siya ng tingin.

"I-I can't give it to you that fast..." Sabi niya na ikinalaglag ng panga ko.

"What the hell? Why can't it be?!"

"Because... My family is currently facing your mother's rants! Hindi ako makahanap ng tiyempo!" He spat.

"Then just get the land and give it to me. Nangako ka sa akin. You promised me to give that land to me in the first place! Ikaw ang nag-offer sa akin tapos ngayong nagawa ko na ang utos mo, iiwan mo ako sa ere?!"

"Mau, I can't stole it. Kailangan ko pa ng permiso ni lolo..."

Napahilamos ako sa aking mukha. Everything's torn down and guess what? Now I have to be stick with this toxic relationship again!

"Can't you be a bad person for once? Can't you stole it and give it back to us? We had a contract Aurose. Mom's gonna kill me if she ever finds out that you can't give me the land..." Nanghihina akong sabi.

He gave me a sympathetic look and that's what I don't need right now.

Umiwas kaagad siya ng tingin at bumuntong hininga.

"Then how can I help you? That land is still named to my grandfather and if you wanted to get that, ask him."

"Are you crazy? Anong sasabihin ko? Na, 'hey Don Andres, akin na po ang lupa namin.' Do you think ibibigay niya 'yon sa anak ng kaaway niyo? Like what the hell Aurose! Use your head please." Umirap ako sa ere.

Natawa siya ng bahagya sa sinabi ko kaya sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. He pursed his lips but the humor on his face was still evident.

"Nothing's funny."

"Be my girlfriend then I'll help you ask my grandfather." Natatawa niyang sabi.

"May gana ka pang tumawa gayong idedemanda na kayo ng mommy ko."

"Inurong na niya ang kaso, mom just texted me right now. Besides, hinahanap pa namin 'yong totoong kwintas..."

"Anong sabi mo? Inurong ni mommy ang kaso?" Hindi makapaniwala kong sabi. Bakit ang bilis?! Sana tinuloy na lang.

Minsan hindi ko na mabasa ang utak ni mommy. Ni hindi niya sinabi sa akin na may ganito na palang nangyayari!
