Amid the obvious tension in the vehicle, Genesis could sense a pair of watchful eyes fixated on the side of her head. She glanced over at the man scowling at her from his own passenger seat. He resembled that of a scolded child. Rolling her eyes, she focused her attention back on the road, hoping he would refrain from asking too many questions.

However, Genesis knew Tyler, and of course that would be too much to ask for.

"Are you going to tell me where we're going?" Tyler asked.

"Don't ask me questions you already know the answer to." She retorted, not in the mood for light conversation - especially with her sister's husband.

Tyler softly banged the back of his head against the headrest of his seat. "I take that as a big, fat 'nope' then."

The corners of her lips turned up after finally hearing words that she deemed acceptable.

"That would be a correct assumption. Now, if you don't mind – I'd prefer to have the remainder of our duration in this car with as little noise as possible." Genesis worded her 'shut up' as politely as she could, in order to avoid any further argument during their journey.

They drove through the city for another twenty minutes. Genesis let her eyes wander at the lights twinkling all around her in the dark of night. It was a truly beautiful scene.

As they grew further away from the centre of Manhattan, they entered one of the more upper-class neighbourhoods. The road was quiet, a contrast from the city that it travelled through. Recognition spread across Tyler's face when he realised where they were headed, he came to an upright position in his seat.

"Wait, you insisted on driving me, just to take me home? I'm not that badly injured, you know." He stated. Genesis breathed out heavily through her nostrils, annoyed that he had chosen to start up conversation once again.

"I'm aware of that. However, I have something of particular importance to show you." Genesis informed him as they pulled up at the gate of his mansion. She had no doubt in her mind that it was currently vacant - her sister hadn't shown her face in a week and it was highly unlikely that would change.

Tyler reached over Genesis to type the passcode into the security system. The smell of bio coming from his armpit almost made her gag. When the gates started to peel open, Genesis finally stopped holding her breath. She gave him a disgusted look as he sat back in his seat.

"Morris, the next time you decide to participate in a fight, consider having some deodorant nearby for the aftermath. A shower would do you a favour right now." She complained, cringing as they entered the driveway. Tyler shot her a look that expressed his lack of appreciation for her comment.

The vehicle came to a stop outside the steps to the front door. They exited the car and approached the house. Before Tyler could rummage for his key, Genesis took a small silver item from her pocket and inserted it into the lock, turning it until she heard a click.

"Did you just pick the lock to my door right in front of me?" Tyler questioned.

Genesis chuckled as she pushed the door open. "No need, brother." She started, walking into the empty foyer. "I have a key."

Tyler shrugged exasperatedly, entering behind her and shutting the door. "Of course, you do." He commented as they discarded their shoes. "Though I still can't work out what you could possibly have to show me in my own home that I haven't already seen."

"It's less of something to see, but rather for you to feel. Follow me." Genesis instructed, leading her brother-in-law up the staircase. He trailed behind her in silence, probably wondering where it was they were venturing to. After a minute, they were facing the set of double-doors to the couple's bedroom.
