Saturday
Evening had dawned upon New York City, the city that never sleeps. That much was evident by the blaring of music coming from the enormous yacht perched at the docks of the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Despite her deeply rooted hatred for the girl, Genesis had to give her sister props for her efforts. When the twins had instructed for Jazmine to find an amazing venue, nobody had expected her to hire a yacht almost the size of the Allure - the largest cruise ship in the world. For once, it appeared that Jazmine had made a decision for someone's benefit that wasn't her own.
Hann pulled up outside the yacht, a large ramp covered in dark red carpet led from the docks up to the first deck, where eager party goers could be seen mingling with one another. The door to the limo had been opened, and there stood none other than one of the birthday boys - Genesis's date for the night.
Courteously, he offered her his hand which she accepted with a smile. Stepping out of the vehicle, she allowed the warmth of the summer air to brush against her skin. Finally acknowledging the man whom had been watching her lustfully since she had arrived, Genesis placed a gentle kiss against his cheek.
"You look, how you British like to say 'absolutely ravishing' tonight." Dimitri spoke, eyeing her body hungrily. Genesis took in his appearance also, he looked handsome as always in his tuxedo and bow tie. His face was freshly shaven and his familiar smell of cinnamon and mint graced her senses.
"Well it is your birthday, dopotutto. I thought I may as well give you something to look at." She replied, taking hold of his outstretched arm and allowing him to escort her up the ramp.
He chuckled lightly. "Credimi, you are not something I'm simply going to be looking at tonight." Dimitri stated with a smirk. Genesis rolled her eyes, he could flirt all he wanted, but he wouldn't be receiving his real present until much later.
As they entered the huge ballroom, Genesis took her time to appreciate the interior. Emily had to have gone to great lengths to have the place decorated so spectacularly. Large white curtains with gold Victorian-style designs hung from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The same pattern was used to cover the tables and seats. Various disco balls were scattered above them and the same red carpet that was outside had been lain inside.
Crystal chandeliers hung above each table, with more along the walls. In the spirit of the ballroom theme, the cards on each table had cursive writing, matching the huge banner that hung by the stage, bearing the words 'Happy 25th Birthday Dominic and Dimitri' in shimmering golden print.
"Wow, Emily really went all out." Dimitri breathed, his mouth slightly ajar as he looked around in awe. Genesis smiled, under all the lights you could see his youthfulness, and it was as if you were looking at his twin and not him.
"I would expect nothing less from her." Genesis replied as they proceeded to weave their way through the countless bodies.
Somewhere along the way Dimitri had been pulled aside by one of the many guests that wanted to wish him a happy birthday. It was past nine now, Genesis had turned up late as she had been overseeing the set-up of the entertainment right until five, then had to go home and get herself ready before returning.
A long table sporting a variety of food stretched along the left side of the room. Genesis skimmed over it, deciding which delicious appetizers she should add to her plate. What could she say, food was the way to her heart - if she had one that is. Whoever it was that Tyler had hired, their food appeared to be of an extremely high quality. Everything looked as if it had been pulled directly out of hell's kitchen.
"I recommend the horderves, I guarantee they taste as good as you look." A familiar voice came from behind Genesis, his arms had found their way around her waist as they spoke. Genesis turned to find Dominic smirking down at her. She sighed, shaking her head and unwrapped his hands from her waist.
