CLARY POV
"Izzy!" I say as I get out of the car, rushing over to her. "Izzy please wake up," I beg as I drop to the ground. "Izzy no!" My head then snaps towards Jace. "JACE!" I yell. "Izzy please wake up!" I beg, my attention going black to Jace. I hear Jace talking on the phone. I ignore it though, crying on my best friends shirt.

     I get out of Jace's car. I slowly walk up to Amber's door. I fell Jace walk up next to me. "Thank you for taking me home," I say, not looking at Jace.
       "It's ok," Jace whispers.
     "Can you come inside for a minute? I need to talk to you," I say. Jace looks at me but I don't look at him, I just stare at the door.
      "O-ok," Jace mumbles. I nod lightly and open the door. I walk to the kitchen, tears coated my eyes as I stared at the sink, not wanting to focus on Jace. "What did you have to say?" Jace asks from behind me. I turn around, tears running down my eyes.
       "Jace..." I say. "You promised to help, but....all that has happened is that three people I care about are dead, missing or in the hospital," I say with tears flowing down my cheeks. "I said I would let you help...but all that has happened is disaster!" I say as I tuck my hair behind my ear. "I....I Can't.." I whisper as I look down at the floor.
        "But we were-," I interrupt him.
      "What are we Jace?!" I ask angrily. "Are we a thing?!" I ask as I walk up to him. "No we are not! Because if I remember right I am dating Sebastian! We're friends Jace! And I will admit I do have feelings for you!" I say.  "I don't know if they are more than friendly but....I also have feelings for Sebastian, I can't just abandon them because he's missing!" I say. Jace was shaking in anger.
       "HE'S DEAD CLARY!" Jace yells. "Can't you see that?! Amber's a psychopath and she killed him!" Jace yells. "I'm not pressing for you to care about me, but at least realize the truth!" Jace yells. My breath quickens.
"How could you say that?" I ask out of breath. "GET OUT! I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE YOU!" I yell as I turn around, giving him my back. I hear the front door open and slam loudly. I fall to the floor in tears.

JACE POV
I walk into my room, trembling tears of anger growing in my eyes. My aunt Sam walks into the room "are you ok?" She asks.
"N-no," I say as I turn around to look at her. "Aunt Sammy...I've done something bad," i say.
"Well....what can be worse than usual?" She asks.
"I screwed up, there's this girl....and...she's in a bad position, i care about her a lot," I explain. "She deserves better than what's happening to her....sh-she deserves better than me," I choke out.
"Well....if you really care about her...and if it's for the best....maybe you should let her go," Aunt Sammy whispers.
"I know that I should.....but.....I don't think I just 'care' about her at this point.....I think I'm in love with her,"
